I've been working like crazy. I'm also inbetween homes, so have had little time or space to shoot. But I was able to make some time today. It's been a few months.
FX Crown Continuum MK1. Today I only used the 500mm superior .22 barrel and JSB hades. This barrel is a superlight variant, and has an epoxied carbon sleeve. I neglected to check my bottle pressure, and found it only had 100 bar in it. It is tuned for a 125 bar regulator setting. I didn't have the tool to swap my bipod over to my 580cc bottle, so left it as it was, since I wanted the luxury.
Almost all of my guns, when they fall off of the regulator, or drop in power, get drifting POI. Usually drifitng low left or low right as power falls off. This simply didn't happen with this barrel. I was still able to shoot with what was essentially pinpoint accuracy at 35 yards. Over maybe 35 shots my POI only dropped maybe .2" and did not drift left or right at all. This behavior seems to fall in line with this particular modified superior barrel being extremely accurate with any slug I've thrown at it. With no preferance or reguard to what tune I threw at it either. Basically the polar opposite of the .22 slug A liner I have. It just flat out performs, no matter what. Simply outstanding R&D on these.
Unfortunately I did not take any photos shooting. My phone doesnt take great pictures, and I didn't have it on me either. Victims were just some cans today. I set them behind a steel pipe, and sent a good number of ricochets into them off of the pipe (intentionally, for fun). The little 16gr hades were putting quite a dent in the pipe as well.
This gun normally shoots Hades @960fps out of the 380mm barrel. There is some port work that helps with this. The tune is extremely efficient for hunting with the short barrel. Adding a longer barrel with this tune increases power almost none.
