Tuning Finally Getting Somewhere

I've been struggling with slugs for quite sometime now. I actually gave up for most of this year...then I stumbled onto a new tuning and have had very good luck. Also guys, just a few bar difference on the regulator can have a big affect.

120 bar about 2"

126 Bar about 0.3xx"

Five shot group also at 88 yards

When the weather permits I'll try further out. I actually had meant to shoot at 100 instead of 88. Normally walking it off gets me within a yard or two. Guess I need to have my shoes

re-calibrated.

The new tuning involves setting the HS to max (all the way in while the power wheel is on max), to the point where the wheel stops moving. Then back out until the where STARTS moving. I start with the valve all the way out then turn in to tighten groups so now it's about 3.2 to 3.3 lines out from closed. You get better efficiency with the valve in a little.

I initially set the speed for about mid 900's for this slug then start changing the reg pressure. I started at 110 Bar and slowly increased until my groups tightened up at 126 Bar.

I want to clarify... once I set the HSTA I forget it. I adjust target velocity with the regulator. Then I find the best PW setting by group size at 60-75 y. Mine was PW=3.
So, leaving it at 3 I try different Reg settings +/- 5-10 bar while watching group size

Finally I turn in the valve, also watching group size. The valve just helps with efficiency.
when I tried matching HSTA with reg pressure I could not get good groups w slugs.
