Good old Neil Clague made up a moderator shroud to thread inside the moderator and engulf my Hatsan shroud. Came out clean and more compact. Well, I couldn’t leave well enough alone, and painted it to match up the rest of the rifle. I guess at this point I’m gonna say I’m done with the looks part of it.

last week I painted up the scope rings to match up the scope, along with the Butler Creek eyepiece cover.

Heavy- that Bully is a beast on its own as far as rapport goes. The Wildcat is very quiet, thank you for that, but the bully still has some rapport. It’s way better now, way better than without, but a Bully will never ever become a “backyard friendly” gun. Not unless I want to hang a foot long, costly, Emperor on it.

Talking with Neil, in all fairness, he made a good point. Go outside, away from fences, walls, and then have someone off to the rear and side of me, and ask what they hear. All this time I’ve been judging moderator effectiveness in my garage while shooting out at front lawn targets. The only moderators that are quiet enough to be labeled backyard friendly is your Wildcat concoction, and Tim Hills Marauder moderator. Consequently, both yours and his use the air stripper inverted cones.

To credit Neil, he did such a fantastic job in fabrication. It came powdercoated black, so some pre prep was involved for it to accept the flat dark earth paint. I had a Shogun on there previous, which is a bit quieter than Neil’s, but not by much. It’s only that much quieter cause I’ve had to resort to changing out the Shoguns fabric inside to a very dense foam, and have had others re create the Hatsan QE baffles and spacer out of 3D print.

Neils moderator just looks better on my gun, I feel. More sleek looking, unique, if you know what I mean.

Looks great man! Now shoot it and show us your results

This gun has become its own, lol. I’ve had to de tune the speeds by way of chronograph testing with hammer spring manipulation to get it at a decent shot count, decent velocity, and accuracy. From 1,075 FPS from the factory, it gave 16 shots and ended around 880 FPS. Currently I have it averaging between 875 and 880 FPS, for 20 shots, maybe 23.

At 50 yards, it’s grouping around 5/8” center to center.

The shot to the right away from the group as the first shot to start the sight in process.

I'd call my 104 fpe .30 impact "backyard friendly" on report only. The noise comes when you hit something... other than the pellet's impact it sounds almost exactly like my .22 barrel. I'm still struggling to work the bugs out of my new printer. I've got a few nice parts out of it but it's not consistent yet.

As@ CONCENTRADO- the scope is a MONSTRUM 4-16 x 50 mm. It’s actually a decent scope, for the price point. I only wished I bought one a few months later, cause now this same scope now has locking turrets.

My other beef, which really isn’t the scopes fault, is something i learned with FFP scopes. I shot at this filled water bottle set out at 55 yards exactly. I drew a 1/2” sharpie dot on it. The Monstrum scope is a FFP, MOA reticle, with mil dots at he cross hair mid point and all along the horizontal and vertical axis.

Well, at full zoom, 16 power, that centered dot completely covered my sharpie mark. Ha! Lesson learned.
