Airguns as defined by FedEx rules currently in place are neither Firearms (duh!) nor Dangerous Goods (double duh!)

You may have just run into an anti-gunning tree-hugger at the shipping desk making up their own version of the truth that deos not know the correct definition or FedEx Rules.

There are certain localities that have chosen to define airguns as firearms. Not Constitutional, but until someone challenges them, their rules will stand. You may have been trying to ship to one of those Constitutionally challenged locations.

Curiously, this was posted back in 2014 on the other AG website..

I've lived in areas before where I was given a hard time by local UPS pick ups for shipping air guns. It's hard to explain when the employees have a low reading comprehension level. I had to once deal with a USPS Postmaster that told me it was considered a firearm. She was so ignorant that I finally stopped using USPS and just used UPS. I'm not sure how some of these people graduate high school.
