My favorite one is myHW98 .20 cal.

accurate , a little bit of an odd ball .20 cal.

love the adjustable cheek piece and butt pad.

Ah! I totally forgot about the 98. You are the first to bring this one up. That’s a fine looking rig there!

My favorite is an hw97 in .177 cal with a lam stock like Brads. I install some goodies to make even more special. It has a Rowan extra set back trigger which I tuned to a light but safe let off. Along with the trigger, I also tuned it with a Maccari spring and guides. I kept the oem piston seal because it gave the best velocities and shooting cycle remained calm compared to the Maccari seal. It’s my fav because it is so darn accurate plus I had a chance to put it together myself.

I just put together an HW50S with Maccari components but have not shot it for accuracy. It shoots smooth and fast so far. Almost feels like a Theoben evolution I have many years ago. It’s in .177 as well.

I like AAs too. Don’t have one now but plan on getting a prosport in .22.

Gabe,

Both are beautiful rifles! I should have bought one of those JM stocks when they were on special. I looked at them hard but decided against it since I had given the 50 to my son. I have thought about buying a laminated blank and making a stock for my 77. I have a walnut blank in house now that I thought about using for the 77 also. I would try and copy the lines of the classic 77 style with the white line spacers too if I went with walnut.

Walther LGU Master Pro .177 european 12ftlbs model with steel match trigger and beech stock.

From the box, two shots into the ground.

Scoped with a basic 4x32 single post reticule, 3 shots to zero then it put the next five thro the same hole at 18yards (padded standing rest), pellets Umarex Mosquito 7.40grain ,48gm flat head.

That will do for me, until Ive re-scoped it for field target comps.

Proposed mods; reshape the stock to loose weight and the ambidextrous cheek rest, strip and clean, maybe rework the trigger.

Wow, some really beautiful guns and great stories in this post.

I have owned a few nice springers but my favorite so far has been and still is my current FWB 124D that I made my own stock for. I haven't shot springers for a few months but just last week I got it out along with my RWS52 .177 and did a little shooting. I shoot the FWB so much better. Need to shoot it more.
