Tuning Favorite Edgun Leshiy tunes for .25 cal 🎵🎶

Hi guys,

I'm piggy-backing off a recent similar thread.... I just purchased a classic Leshiy off the classified in .25 and I've never had a .25 cal before. Almost all my airguns are 177 with a couple in .22.

Do you guys have a favorite tune for the .25? I have the standard reg and also ordered a low power Huma 12-ft reg for lower power.... I think I'd prefer lower power to keep the noise as quiet as possible. Is something like 500 FPS with 25 grain JSB's too low? 10-30 yards mostly. Rats and squirrels hopefully.

Thanks!

Here is one old thread that gets into the low power tunes with larger projectiles.

Yes the thread starts off discussing the Leshy 2 but shifts to low power tunes for the Classic.

Look forward to hearing your results.

I'll post back if I find any other old threads. I also want to try some low power tunes with 25 grain projectiles so I'm looking for them anyways.

Thanks, Scouty!

One other thing. It seems that most outside of the UK recommend not using the black plenum spacer for the sub-12 Huma kit. Evidently that only acts to eliminate the off reg spikes that can exceed 12 FPE in an otherwise properly tuned gun.

I would shoot your Leshiy as is for a while & only start with HST adjustments. Get an idea of what speed range you like shooting it before diving into reg adjustments and/or swapping the reg entirely.

Thanks.

Does anyone know if you need a new valve stem for the 12/ft Huma kit? It comes with a new thinner hammer spring, but it doesn't fit the current valve stem....

Yes, you need to cut the valve stem. There is a video on this from that New Zealander who helped develop it. Let me know if you need help finding it.

If you want to order a backup before cutting (I did but didn't need it) as I understand it the Lelya/Matador valve will work but then you'll need to cut both the plastic & metal ends.

I only mention this in case Leshiy valves are out of stock. I'd confirm this before ordering as I doubt I'll be able to find the thread where that was discussed.
