Failing QC and CS

Here lately, I have been receiving new parts that I have ordered from various companies. They will arrive in their unscathed package. But damaged. People are putting damaged parts in the mail and sending them to me as new. This has happened multiple times with FX USA. One instance, they refunded my purchase. Another I sent the other 2 damaged parts back in exchange for 2 more of the same (hopefully un-damaged parts). The replacement shroud was good. The other part was STILL DAMAGED.

I just received a package from MTC today over an issue I had with removing the battery cap from my scope. I tried using heat, tried cooling the cap with ice to get it to shrink a hair. Eventually I had to put the turret in a VICE with some wood blocks. And I had to use a coin that fit the cap notch exactly IN A PAIR OF PLIERS. I had to use so much force that the coin that was an exact fit STILL DAMAGED the cap.

Anyhow, they said they'd send me another. But they had to remove it from an existing scope to do so. 🤦‍♂️ Guess what problem they had... The new cap they sent me had THE SAME DAMAGE mine did. Why did they even bother.??!!

What is going on. These are not the only instances of floundering QC I've seen lately.

I know it can't just be me. And why this is acceptable is beyond me.

I have had the same problems with many including FX.

I tried to get a new regulator rod from them several times then gave up and bought a Huma so I could go shoot my Impact. They caught me here on the forum when I complained about it. I was impressed, to say the least and we had dialog and I bought another regulator rod. But the part they sent me was ten times as bad as the one that I took off in the first place. Sent them a couple pics and got another one that was good. Ordered three moderator parts all three had a little defect with silver shining through where the finish or metal was chipped. Looks like they grabbed them out of the defect pile and then just sent them out. They were just small cosmetic flaws so I kept the parts rather than go through the hassle of the return. This should not be though they were packaged very well.

Over my lifetime things have turned so bad that when I get something and it werqs I am a happy camper and keep it even if it is bent, dented or scratched up because sending it back means I could get something worse in return.

Although I try not to order from China much of this stuff came from there. So, I expect it and sometimes even expect to have to fix it to get the new thing, whatever it be, to even make it werq. I am very disappointed when I get something from FX or the USA that is as thrashed or scratched up as the China stuff though. The few things I have received from Germany have all been excellent.

Still 75% of what I get is good to go so it's really not that bad?

As Motorhead said tomorrow is another day and so it is. 👍

We are blessed to have it and our first world problems today. I wouldn't want it to be any other way. ;^)

Sometimes they hire people that can’t tell the difference between a good or a bad Part. Pyramid air did that to me after I told them to inspect the second magazine that they sent me and it was broke. And when I message them, they said they did inspect it. I just told them they didn’t do a very good job of inspecting it. After three tries I finally got a good one. The problem today is that everything is made in very big quantities and they try to meet deadlines. So it is Rush rush rush to get parts out and they do a lousy job on quality control.

Well, I'm of the mind that there is no such thing as a coincidence. And it honestly seems like an overall trend of declining quality and care. In many areas I look at. It seems volume has more value than does quality. That is what is paying, and that is what is being paid for.

Tomorrow is a new day. And I do like to think of things in that manner. Things can always improve just as they may not. 🤞

As the saying goes. If you want it done right, do it yourself. Problem being that I don't have have a machine shop. Yet 😂

I think we are creating this by bitching about shipping time , we want everything now so there is not much time to inspect everything.

Seriously guys, you can't wait one more week to get something, it's not that you order food for you family and they starving.

In the end you forget that something you got week later but you don't forget that you receive wrong item or something was broken.

There is three tings involved in business, quality, price and time and you can only have two of them at the same time, no other way around

Not blaming anyone just making a point .

Well look me up when you get that machine shop and I can be your friend. ;^)

Machine shop Machine shop...

Sorry to hear that happened to you I personally have had great service come from FX USA, I just got off the phone with them a couple days ago after I damaged part of my gun and was suggested a repair kit that has some O-rings and stuff I need to get my gun up. I spoke with a lady from customer service and a technician and they were extremely helpful, hopefully, you get things turned around.
