Extremely Good Slug Shooting with Standard .25 Caliber Wildcat MKII...

Impressive, 56 shots on a fill,, and I was not 100% sure when I shot my new .25 MKII for the first time, I got 64 shots. It has been bugging me for days if I really counted the mags correctly 😃. I have a brand new wildcat with AMP reg and 700mm barrel. I have never changed an o-ring or done any repairs and I still find it a bit intimidating pulling out the liner and unscrewing the stock, so harmonic tuning and setting up for slugs gives me headache, but I will get there 👌. I most certainly will order a 700mm slug liner, but not before I'm ready to play with the HS and AMP reg. The gun is shooting butter sweet right out of the box, so I really don't want to mess with it right now as it has shot less than 500 pellets. The wife shot 100 pellets, my youngest son shot close to 300, and poor me only around a 100 shots, I was busy setting up targets. I will have to buy another gun for the wife and kid to share... I will follow and learn from your slug progress 👀, and will post whenever I get hold of a slug liner.

The Wildcat MKII is a great bullpup right out of the box shooting pellets. There is no absolute need to change a thing. I am just one to get an idea and run with it. A understanding of the mechanics of these airguns and all the options in accessories and ammunition out there, get my creative juices flowing! Sometimes it works out. If you get to the point where you are trying to tune your Wildcat MKII shoot me a PM maybe I could advise you some? Until then get out there and shoot that puppy and have fun!

Hi Joe, Thanks for the offer, I'll take you up on it whenever I get hold of the slug liner. First project is a bi-pod though, which I'll attached to the air tube. I probably also need to invest in a better scope as I have problems with seeing target impact holes after 80 yards 👀. I was trying to explain my 10 year old kid and the wife "hold over / under" but it seems easier to jbuy the HHA optimizer, that should give us all some more shooting time.

Is anyone else in airgun land attempting slug shooting with the Wildcat MKII?

I just picked up a n FX superior liner for my 600mm 25 cal Wildcat. Also have the hybrids on hand. Going to see what this liner is all about, and also to see if it tightens up the groups in my pellets of choice.



Whats great about all the performance details you have laid out, Joe, it’ll give me something to compare to, or should I say, a goal to strive for! Thank you!

Joe, if I can ask, which moderator do you have on your wildcat, and how quiet is it? Try and relate it to a common sound, like a fastball hitting a catchers mitt, egg dropping on a floor, etc. I don’t mean to ask for a weird sound description, but I’d like to hear something other than “mouse fart quiet”, if you know what I mean.

On my .25 FX Wildcat MKII l have the FX by DonnyFL moderator. The moderator that is sold with the Dreamline. The sound is like a low effort muffled hand clap. Very quiet and backyard friendly even with the raised power setting. A very compact and effective moderator!

how long is the internal plenum of huma?

i just want to know how long it will take on the tank length.

It is installed in my Wildcat MKII I have no exact length measurement. Maybe someone else can chime in and help answer your question. Guessing it’s around 3.5 to 4 inches long. All I know is that it adds 30cc worth of plenum volume.
