Extreme Benchrest What to Bring

October is slowly approaching and EBR 2019 is on the horizon like a rising sun. The participants come in their cars and trucks with others having to fly in for the battle.

i will be flying in. If I was driving I would load up my truck with 3 rifles and 3 or 4 milk crates filled with all the shooting paraphernalia one could imagine.

So I’m planning on competing in EBR this will be my first year to compete, since I’m flying in what I can bring is limited. Other than the obvious what should I bring. I will be going with my Impact which I can set up in 22,25 or 30 caliber. I have different scopes with rings mounted on them so if I need to change calibers resighting in will be simplified. I will also bring pellets that have been sorted so I can shoot consistently. I will also have a bipod on the Impact along with the tools that I need to take care of the impact.

What else should I squeeze into my baggage that will be needed? I will miss not having my adjustable drummers stool and my Bald Eagle Rest but I can handle that what I’m worried about is forgetting the obvious.

what would you add to my EBR packing list?

Consider having your airguns sent via USPS to a friend in Arizona. I recently USPS shipped a gun, as the fee for my "third bag" was $150, no idea what a fourth guncase would have cost. USPS allows you to ship to yourself "care of" another person. You could possibly do it to the Hotel you intend to stay at (with a bit of coordination in advance). Otherwise, you may discover your baggage fees are through the roof.

So you can use the .22 barrel for everything if you can get the RD Monsters to fly at over 900 FPS. If you have the longer barrel (600mm) in .22 shouldn't be too hard. You can shoot Extreme and SS with whatever you want, but the 50Y has to be .22 or smaller. Or just bring the .25 or .30 barrel, whichever is more accurate for the Extreme... I shot all four events last year and the SS was by far the most fun!
