    EXTREME AMERICAN FIELD TARGET

    SATURDAY November 28, 2020

Come out and try this new exciting air rifle shooting event.

Like regular field target, only more bad ass.

    From 25 to 100 yards.

    Target range provided in yards.

Up to .30 caliber and 100 FPE  Slugs or Pellets, your choice.

C’mon slug shooters, I keep reading about how awesome slugs are at 200+ yards  Show us how it’s done!

I shot in the inaugural event in September and it was awesome.  Team Centercut members won both classes!  Although @steve123 did great and won pellet class with about 20 shooters, my “win” in the slug class was only against one other shooter  ;)

Below posted for Match Director Ben Spencer

Our fun monthly match is almost here. We hope to have the interest to continue this on a monthly basis. This will give established shooters a consistent match to compete in.This will also give new shooters a chance to get to know other local shooters.

The phoenixrodandgun.org calendar link will take you to practiscore.com  to register. This is recommended as it is easier to know the amount of shooters we will have and divisions. Our goal is to have a base class(dollar amount max)in the near future.(similar NRL22 division).Sponsorship for all divisions recognitions on a monthly/quarterly basis are currently ongoing.Walk up entrants are welcome, however on a cash only basis.

This is a new endeavor for me and I look forward to see everyone enjoying to shoot a very fun event. So please be patient with us as we get this Extreme FT off the ground. We also welcome any volunteers that would like to help. This will be a SHOOTERS!!!! match. This means that the majority will have the power of change. Communication is the key for this idea to be a success. So please let me know of any ideas or critiques you have. I also want to let you know your email address will NOT be sold or given to anyone or any businesses. If you do NOT want to receive my emails just let me know and I will remove your email address. I appreciate you taking the time to read and respond to this email.

    Thank-you

    Benjamin D Spencer

Shooters will shoot from a seated (bucket provided if needed) position with a bi-pod (provided).  Shooter will be required to hit kill zones from 1" up to 4" to get animal to fall.  The shooter will have 4 minutes to setup and complete 4 shots (2 per animal) per lane.  There will be 10 lanes with 2 animals in each lane.  This will be a 40 shot match.  Any ties will be settled by shoot off (time permitting) or longest streak.Distances will be given ,animals from 25-100 yards.

You can register for this event on Practiscore.com HERE. You must have or create a free account to register.

Questions for the match can be directed to the match director by EMAIL.

This month we will have much larger shooting pads/areas. The old ones were 2×3 which worked ok but to some seemed a little cramped for space. So we ended up getting larger material, the pads will be 4'x3' so there should be more space. The trail is completely covered in small gravel now. Phoenix Rod and Gun Club did all that, they also made room enough for about 10-15 parking spots up by the entrance to the trail. This means you won't have to walk so far and get your heart rate up LOL. Here is the projected forecast at this point. So bring your patience but remember 4 minutes is all you have for 4 shots per lane.

Hope to see you all there.

SWEEETTT video! Very good video representation of the event. As fun as that was to watch, it was even more fun to compete in.

I'm planning on making the November match and pretty excited for it.

They sure did a good job producing that video, IMO it was professional quality! Lauren did a great job too, just think what a great sports commentator she'd be.

Thanks Robert for sponsoring the Southwest Challenge, it was an awesome event, much appreciated by all.

I wonder who's turn it will be to win this month???

Match director just told me that AOA is continuing their SPONSORSHIP by putting up $100 prize money for 1st place in each division, slug and pellet. How awesome is that?!? I'm even more excited for this Sat now.
