As the trigger stands now, I think a lighter trigger spring would help with off hand shooting. I likely will order the Baker trigger.

The shiny new gun excitement caused me to bust out a spot light and a long extension cord to 35 yards and feed the gun more pellets.

Lubed 18.13 JSBs seemed to be the best so far. The picture below is a magazine of pellets shot at 35 yards with an uncleaned barrel.

That’s great to hear! I personally would love to see a good thorough review on a .177. I guess it would be a bit quieter than .22?

It is probably fairly close to the 22. My Fort 177 was not loud, but not as quiet as any of my regulated Mrods. It only has three baffles compared the Mrod seven. Rest assured if it is not quiet enough for you, there are plenty of after market parts that will make it so.

I would be interested to hear how the Baker trigger pans out. I bought the kit and watched the video of the install and didn't get a good result in my Maximus. I emailed questions about it back to the website, never heard anything back. I felt the trigger was too light to be safe, about 14 ounces, and the velocity of the pellets decreased with the trigger installed. I cleaned and lubed the OEM trigger and it got much better.

I will for sure report back. Any idea how changing the trigger setup impacted pellet velocity?

Here’s what I think about the Fortitude .:) The trigger needs work / a little bit loud:(but still backyard friendly / shoot straight! good for 40 to 50 yards / Platform we’re all familiar with/will fit discovery stock and GEN one marauder trigger/over all for the price a good pellet gun / lots of shots per Fill in .177 /Made in America! Can’t go wrong With five year warranty!!
