Everybody needs a Blunderbuss

Just finished this one, at least as finished as I’m gonna do..
Several years ago, I bought this barrel at the Findlay Ohio airgun show and put it on my table of possible projects....
I started on it last year, did some on it, then put it away and thought about it some more..the last few weeks I’ve been doing a few things to it and now this is the final result...
It’s .87 caliber and co2 powered...the bore on the valve is 1/4” right now, with removable inserts to increase or decrease size...I haven’t really chrono’d it yet, it seems pretty powerful... right now, I’m looking at making some shot cups for it..and I do have a 410 barrel blank I got from DAQ...if the performance isn’t great at 87 caliber..
That key shaped thing on the front is the power adjuster,in case you’re curious.
Hope you enjoy looking at it,
MIke

Cool. One question Sir. I’ve seen those ball shaped reservoirs before on traditional builds but have no idea where they’re coming from or made from scratch.
Your Wing nut transfer port restrictor is a good simple idea be it your desired or rough design. It beats Allen wrenches.
The spring steel driven hammer is a great idea. How hard is it hitting the lever & what’s your fill pressure, porting if you don’t mind? One shot dump valve I suppose for now?
I’m not a must have multi shot type. Magazine prices are ridiculous and usually need modifications to not bend skirts or even use a slug.
I really like your design. Solid tank built, simple no nonsense.

I made the ball, it’s good for Co2 only...as for the key , it’s to tighten up the spring for a heavier hammer hit..it’s a single shot, and it gets about 14 shots per fill of co2.

the transfer port to the barrel is a little over .375, and is very short, less than 3/4”

btw the key is a rough cast brass key, made for cocking antique air canes..I had a couple and it was handy.

i haven’t really shot it for power and shot pattern yet..I am still fooling with a way to use some sort of Shotgun type wad to fill and drop in..

Hey how did you make the ball reservoir? Any resources on how they're made I can't find anything about what they look like on the inside.
