Evanix air speed .25 long term

I was one of the first to get on the bandwagon when these rifles came out.three years later here are my findings . It has worked pretty well straight from the get go and have only had issues with the springs on the mags , I’m now using the magazines without springs in them at all with no issues. It is very accurate out to 40 yards from the good old JSB kings . I haven’t really pushed it out much further than that. My stock is cracked from over tightening the single stock screw but I repaired it /. crazy glued the crack and it’s been fine since . I have come to like the trigger after adjusting the first stage pull weight and it breaks clean with a predictable break. I’ve also removed the ridiculous safety bar, it was basically unusable. I’ve been inside the rifle a few times and have noticed there is lead dust that tends to collect on the hammer and probe assemblies. The rifle like most other Evanix are very easy to work on so the cleaning can be done in less than a half hour start to finish. I keep mine dry with no lube , this tends to keep the action working well with no miss fires . I have mine set with the adjuster flush at the rear , the JSAR power /accuracy kit installed and am shooting the kings at an average of 850FPS .I get 8 magazines from a 230 bar fill to 130 bar refill. I find shooting any lower pressure and I get machine gunning and failure to cock.

I’m happy with the rifle even with the cheap stock. Estimating I’ve put maybe 2500 pellets through it. I see they now have an MKII with a much improved safety mechanism and power adjuster /transfer port strangle screw. Though I don’t know how well it works.

I’d like to hear from others and see if theirs are holding up as well as mine has .
