ERNEST ROWE'S Youtube page

Haven't dealt with many other tunesmiths in this industry but I can tell you that Ernest is the BEST! Absolutely beyond any shadow of a doubt one of the nicest, most honest, most knowledgeable, freely helpful persons you'll ever entrust your gun to. He tuned my Colibri for return shipping because he had worked on it once before. He's taken time out of his very busy life to answer questions via email and phone. Worked with me on what I wanted done...and never once seemed aggravated that he was doing it virtually free of charge. Love his work and wonder sometimes what would happen if he weren't here to help us all.

Ernest and his expertise and knowledge are irreplaceable in the Airgunning industry...hence FX jumping at the chance to have a man like him on their team.

ERNEST ROWE FOR PRESIDENT! lol

Hi,

I bought the FX Impact in .22 cal. (serial # 181353) from PbDionisio, an authorized local dealer/distributor here in the Phillipines last February 2018. I set the regulator to 147 bars, the valve stem adjustment set at line 4 (4 lines exposed), Power Adjuster Wheel at Max, and at this setting the gun was very accurate and consistent with the 18gr. JSB Exact Jumbo Heavy, with an average muzzle velocity of about 941 fps. From 240bars down to 150 bars I get over a hundred shots. I have been using my Impact for 8 months now and shot a few thousand rounds of pellets through it. The gun is ALWAYS well maintained and is only used on my benchrest. A few weeks ago, as I was using it, the muzzle velocity dropped to less than 400fps. The tank manometer had more than 200bars, the regulator manometer was still set to 147bars, barrel was clean with no obstructions, the gun was cocking and firing smoothly but no power... I brought it back to the dealer, PbDionisio and left it with them. I got the gun back a couple of weeks ago. At first it was working fine but when I adjusted the valve stem it lost power again. Now its worse, it would fire erratically, at 950fps, next shot 340fps, next at 510fps, then back to 908fps, and sometimes to over 1,400fps. The gun is now very inconsistent. The dealer obviously has no training for support, relying heavily on previous experience with other guns nor do they have any spare parts for the FX airguns. I am very disgrunted with the local support. Please help me.

Thank You In Advance,

Alberto

Alberto ,

Bummer, The shop you purchased from is lested on FX page as an official dealer, make them fix it.

Have you contacted FX yet? Perhaps get FX talking to your dealer?

Now the real truth may be you purchased a somewhat complected rig with a few number of know issues. These seem well covered in the posts & videos here and esp Ernest videos. I'm sure your accustomed to doing things for your self and this rifle may well end up that way. IF you could get you dealer or FX to agree Watch everything, strip it down and force FX or your dealer to cough up parts.

Best wishes,

John

Once I found the right site, found out how nice the site is. Do, please consider throwing him $20 or $40 for the help he's given all of us. I just used his videos, and some information from the forums here to rebuild my regulator after blowing an o-ring. I'd never have had the confidence to do that without the videos. Videos are well done, and incredibly complete.

Good Job!
