Ernest Rowe Video, New Twist X .25 & .30 Barrels Fit the Impact

I think the Impact mags (below top) are unique in the FX lineup. I believe the "standard" FX magazines (below center) will fit the Crown, even the "mini" shown on the bottom

I was thinking Crown mag into Impact. As in if I buy a .30 Crown and put that barrel on my Impact I'll have to buy a .30cal Impact magazine.
Taking another look at my Impact I can see the piece that supports the bottom of the mag is off set.
That would stop the Crown mag being inserted from the other side of the action.
I can't see what else would stop it.
Those smaller mag should fit both guns.
From the left side on the Impact.

Big thanks to Ernest for confirming the barrels fit, and for the zillion other detailed videos you've made. Seriously, it's all great information to have available.

I really prefer the form of the Impact, and I'll be hoping the Crown barrels become available for use in the Impact. Sounds like the full barrel will be expensive, but then liners will be cheaper.

Cheers,
Rusty

Edit: The mags do work but take some fiddling with insertion. Once you get the pellet probe aligned with the mag port they function fine.
My initial attempt was unsuccessful, after the first shot when I cycled the bolt the mag fell out! Later on I examined the mag and noticed the faceplate o-ring was missing. I must have peeled it off when inserting/removing the mag. Without the o-ring to keep it snug I am not surprised that it fell out. I tried another mag this morning and it worked fine, it stayed in place while cycling the bolt and fed/indexed just like it should. They may be a bit unconventional to use but worth it IMO. This is what the mag looks like when aligned with the pellet probe and ready to fire:

Received my "Standard" mags today and disappointed to say they do not fit the Crown. The chamber of the Crown is too high off the floor of the mag ramp and does not line up with the mag pellet loading port. Looks like the Crown mags are unique, bummer!
Note: AofA's website lists the "Standard" mags as fitting the following:
  • Royale 200/300/400/500
  • Bobcat
  • Verminator Mk2
  • Gladiator Mk2
  • Independence
  • Indy
  • T12 Whisper
  •
