Element Helix MIL

I've been looking for another scope for awhile just to replace some other scopes I have as I've downsized to only one PCP and a .22lr. I have an Arken SH-4 4-14x44 that I really like but good luck trying to find another one. Absolutely love the scope and wanted to get a second one but with no end in sight was looking at other ones. The Helix has been on my radar ever since being announced but also taking forever to actually be available. However on my search lastnight I found optics planet had 5 of the Helix in MIL in stock. Decided to order one and am excited to get it. Was alittle hesitant about the SFP after having FFP for a few years now but now having the Arken which I setup for dialing won't have any issues with the SFP as I prefer dialing. Plus having the reticle calibrated at max power level and backing to 12 or 6 with easy math I can stretch it pretty far. And I can easily check my dial to see the MIL for whatever distance if I need to make a quick holdover shot. And I really wanted a zero stop which I found absolutely necessary for my shooting while dialing. I plan on putting the Helix on my new to me FX Royale 400 and move the Arken to my .22lr.

The glass on the Helix is super clear. I have waiting for is home, a Crown Continuum that is on order. I have the MRAD version.

Dairyboy the Discovery VT3 FFP 3-12x44 is a really good bright and clear scope and so is the Aliexpress $100 BSA 4-14x44 FFP that sells for $299 at MIDWAYUSA up to 12-13x and 14x isn't perfectly razor sharp clear (Like an Aztec Emerald) just so you know but I'm an overly critical scope snob. The Primary Arms version is $229.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! ESPECIALLY AFTER WATCHING THE VIDEO ON THE $800 (DOUBLE THE PRICE AND A STEP UP) VERSION ARE YOU NUTS? IM ONLY INTO CRYSTAL CLEAR SCOPES MAN!!!

I GOT SO MANY UNSATISFACTORY BLURRY MILKY SCOPES WITH CHROMATIC ABERRATION RANGING FROM $100-1200 ITS SICKENING! I AM EVEN DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SIGHTRON SIIIs I have past 30x.

Maybe the $399 Helix is clearer than that $800 stepped up version who knows?

HELL I got a $200 Aim Sports Alpha6 and JSAR branded version and kicks the butts in clarity of most (made in the same country) Chinese scopes costing over $500-$650 up to $1200 except TAC VECTORS and some Discovery according to MY scope snobby eyes that sees Swarovsky and Zeiss glass are the best and actually prefer JAPAN made and some Filipino scopes.

Sonny that Nexus you got is from JAPAN right? It SHOULD BE CLEAR like the Nightforce SHV (at least!) and Athlon Cronus and Delta Stryker and clearer than the BUSHNELL TAC 4.5-30x50 $599 sale SWFA that other dealers currently sell for $899--$999($1200 regular). These 2 lower grade (priced) $399 and $799 respectively Elements are from CHINA.

I don't own an Element scope, but to be fair, I bet most of the aberation and fuzziness is due to the scope cam. I guarantee that the image through the scope is MUCH more clear. I wouldn't make my glass quality opinions based on scope cam footage.

It makes him sound like a paid sponsor if he said his Nightforce is a paper weight after getting the Element, though.

Spoiler alert! It "MAY" BE clearer than the videod $799 (paid sponsored promotional advertiser?) uploaded to the internet for everyone to watch version where yea the guy said he sees his Nightforce as being a paperweight and I still think he needs glasses or to look through a Swarovsky or at least Zeiss scope then review other scopes to know what razor sharp crystal clear really means so NO B.S. I had shot several inquiries and got a rather interesting reply from a Nightforce owner... said it looks pretty good!

I'm not expecting this to be the absolute best of the best scopes out there and beat every $800+ scope out there. I do agree that scope cam footage doesn't mean much to me as well be tried it myself and there's a big difference in clarity looking through your eye vs on a video. Also what I want it absolutely durable turrets and a zero stop. Very very few scopes have that below this price point besides the Arken that I have. But I also don't get caught up in hype of the guys who have reviewed it this far like 68 whiskey. I mean a Nightforce being a paper weight is a huge exaggeration. However on that note my brother in law has a 5-20x56 SHV and honestly compared to my 3-15x42 SWFA at the time I wasn't impressed with it.

Here is the biggest disappointment in any scope I have ever bought. Even members who didn't believe me when I told them it really really really SUX!!! put theirs up for sale after just looking through theirs at high magnification on the classifieds really felt bad for their buyers. I just told them go sell cheap so nobody complains and lucky if maybe they don't know what a clear scope supposed to look like and only had Leapers or Centerpoints to compare so maybe they wouldn't know any better.
