I agree with your comments. Part of the reason I bought the Helix was based on the advertised length of 13.1”. In reality the scope is 14.3” long. I’ve told Element about this and they have since corrected the spec on their website, but some dealers may still be listing incorrect length.
My perfect scope would be a cross between the Hawke Airmax Compact and Helix. Take the compactness and shorter eye relief of the Hawke and marry it with the reticle and turrets from the Helix.

Glad your enjoying yours. Mine was quite disappointing. I had the Mil version and the glass was ok at best, my turrets had a fair amount of slop and the reticles center dot was way too big for an SFP scope. Returned it and got an Athlon Midas Tac 4-16x44 and couldn't be happier. And I know I'm not the only one that returned it so maybe there QC that is supposed to be very tight isn't really that good idk.

Backing down the power works if they aren't clear at the maximum intended power if you don't have a scope that's clear all the way unless you are lucky to find really cheap ones that actually do.

Thanks for the good review, and most importantly an HONEST review. Good info, sounds like it may be a viable option for a FT scope which would be welcome.

I agree with everything you said.Glass is not the best at that price point and thing that bothers me the most is eye relief is very hard to get.Otherwise turrets are great nice positive clicks and it seems to return to zero every single time.That is why I bought it-to start clicking instead of using holdover.I like the scope but would like to see the eye relief to be more forgiving.

The good thing about dusk and dawn as it gets dark or barely light outside the better the picture looks even at higher magnification which seemed unacceptable at high noon. Hides all the imperfections in the glass.
Try shooting in a very dark cloudy day the scope picture will look razor sharp. Night and day diffetence even at max power.

also, the thing is price-point, i think that being an early adapter for this new brand will really pay for itself. considered i had to wait for my pre order, the fct that they decide to go with full transferable warranty was the breaking point for me .
I decided to get one and if just dont like it anymore or want to upgrade i can always sell it at almost the same price if not the same
