So I bought a second hand gun with an EDMU already installed. It seems not to be working, but then again it could just be my dumb @$$.

So, from off I press once and it counts down from 3 and says “Hi” and stays frozen there until turned off by holding down for several seconds. Any thoughts please?

    Thanks

Thanks Brian. I have watched the video already, a couple times. Gonna have to call him and see. Either that or change the gauge to the Wika, I have one not in use now.

At the very end of the manual for the gauge they give two ways to reset the gauge if it hangs up,one way is to remove battery and put it back in. Maybe that will help

Should count down 3..2..1..Hi then scroll directly left to PSI or Bar .. then the actual numerical value which should enter from bottom of screen followed by Ed’s logo then to off.

I would do a reset by jumpering contacts 1 and 4. 1 being at the top with HI reading properly.  It’s in the manual near the bottom.  You can use a staple to jumper.

HI refers to high or low version of the sensor I believe.

I’ve been trying to open this thread for an hour, RDW crashes AGN lol

Was working just like that the day before. But then just does …. 3,2,1, Hi (freezes there) perpetually reading “Hi”

Have you tried pulling the battery and then reinstalling it?

I would suggest trying to just jumper it first,  that battery is in there good and the less you need to mess with the underside of the board the better.

Thanks guys, will look into it on Wednesday. Working straight the next 2. I literally just got the gun, and don’t even know how to access the gauge. I think I just need to remove the collar. It’s a Taipan Veteran.

To access the gauge, get a 5cc syringe or air compressor hose and insert it in the small hole on the side of the metal bezel. It may be covered by a black sticker. Be careful as blowing air through the hole will make the black face cover blow out so just be aware. Then use a toothpick and there are at least two or three small indents along the edge of the circuit board where you can use the toothpick to lift up the circuit board from inside the gauge body. Once you do the battery will pop out the back as it’s retained by pressure. You can see if just replacing the battery fixes your issue. Otherwise, refer to the manual link above and use the circuit jumper to reset the gauge.

Thanks for info, very helpful. I think I saw the video where Ed is showing it off and explaining all this.
What I need now is instructions on how to remove dust cover/collar from Taipan Veteran. Not having much luck finding info on gun. Will write separate post. Seller is MIA after sale.
