seems silly to spend so much a good scope in the 300 dollar range will shoot just as good

EDgun West also carries scopes below the $300 price range to suit those within a budget but for others who want the crėme de la crème, they cover that too. If you do scope comparisons within the same spec range, there is a difference. It comes down to what one is willing to pay for it. The same thing goes for comparing $300 PCP rifles and $2000-$3000 PCPs'. I will admit, it hurts shopping at EDgun West lol.

Many of the $500-$600 scopes I have tested are hard to see through at 20X power (100 yard shooting). The eye relief becomes a very small circle. You have too put your head in EXACTLY the right place to even see at all. Also, the parallax dial numbers and the actuall parallax focus doesn't line up. A target at 100 yards on this Arkin SH4 FFP is so blurry you can't make it out: if the wheel is on "100"...It won't give you a clear picture of the target at 100 yards unless you turn the parallax back down to 40 yards. None of the distances match up. The $500 Aztec Emerald did the same thing.

...so I'm assuming a $3,000 scope does not have these annoying problems??? I had to spend $3K on my laptop because I use it every day (all day..and night). ...so if I depended on a scope, I would spend $3k on it to save myself all the B.S. from day to day. ...I'm not rich.

P.S. Those grips look beautiful!

Most hi end scopes have no yardage markers for parallax , I own many Tier one optics , their are a few exceptions but most have no numbers , they are not a range finder , but the March is a great scope where as most in same like vortex3 1-10 , PM2 1-8 ,or even ATACR 1-8 have fixed parallax ,. but with most AR type scopes on low power or using as a 3 gun the 1x is for a red dot and low power doesn't really have much use for parallax ,

I like the LPVO or low power variable optics for hunting @ short to mid ranges when you want a light set up , cause I know with me shedding 1.5 pounds over one of my hi power scope , makes a big difference after carrying in the woods all day . so they both have different uses , I wouldn't use my 1-8 or 1-10 powers for ultra long range banging steel plates . or shooting at tiny targets at long ranges , the main thing is scopes have repeatability when cranking turrets and keeping poi with temp changes and banging around ,
