EdGun Leshiy full review (after 5 months & 5K pellets)

I like the bipod extender i will have to get one.

Just bought one on uk ebay for £35.

So I read this review and this gun looks cool and all but for $1399 and it being single shot I just can't seem to justify the cost. Also, no matter what gun you have there is never a guarantee if you're hunting that you won't possibly need a followup shot. If you're hunting with this and its super cold outside how easy will it be to reload quickly ? Just my opinion and no offense to any of you Leishy fans !!

Uh... you don't wait to have 2 pellets left in your magazine. If you're shooting your whole magazine at once then you shouldn't be hunting !! Odd question...

of course, odd question. ...so how cold is "super cold"? I want to test reloading Leshiy this winter.

I was thinking say 15° f and below. We all have different tolerances to the cold.

Don't get me wrong like I stated previously I think it is a very cool gun and was so close to trading my Taipan Veteran shorty for one just last week. It's just too impractical for my needs and I would regret the trade.

Look at the pellet dispenser in the below linked video. I think it would just as fast to reload as any bolt action for a follow up shot. I think you'd be pretty much OK in any situation barring a rhino, grizzly or lion charging you.

If Ed could somehow bring to the market a Leshiy 2.0 with it being magazine fed, ill be a buyer. (Even if it is only a five shot magazine would be fine.) I live in mn and hunt all through winter. Single loading is painful in February up here.

I apologize, sarcasms is my middle name and curse at the same time. I read the same thing about one shot thing all over the Internet forums but reloading is not an issue with Leshiy. I own second Leshiy already and lack of magazine is not a problem at all. I sold first because I thought having magazine is more convenient (bought FX Impact) but with time I realized that the magazine was not an issue. The issue with all other guns was their complexity of built. I can strip Leshiy down in the field with 2 or 3 Allen wrenches and reassemble it within a minutes. There is nothing to break in this rifle. This is true survival rifle. This is its strength. This is not a marketing trolling, just my opinion as a user. 

I timed myself the other day firing 5 shots on the Leshiy and starting with an empty magazine on my impact, and it took longer to load the magazine and fire five shots than it did to fire off five quick shots on the Leshiy. It's literally a matter of getting used to the reloading method that works best for you on the Leshiy. If you are shouldering the Leshiy you can keep it on your shoulder and flip it open and have a pellet ready to put in (or use a pellet pen) and its FAST. I get what people are saying about a single shooter being expensive, but this last day of conversation may have stopped me from getting rid of my leshiy, especially the comments about how its so simple to work on... the impact is like a porsche engine where there is nobody that can work on it but the porsche guys, and the leshiy is like a 60s muscle car that you can find parts on the side of the road for and fix it yourself in the driveway. 

Different strokes for different folks. Even if I sell or trade mine, I can tell you its not like any other gun I have ever held.... even powder burners don't feel that good.

I have an Impact with 4 magazines. I don't reload them when I'm out hunting. Sorry but to me the Leishy is like an overbuilt breakbarrel pistol because of the way it's cocked but in ALL honesty I've never owned one so I will again state that it seems pretty darn cool and will probably want one with a magazine if that's ever offered !!

That group at 150m! How the hell did he do that?!?! Can't wait to get my Leshiy but I'm going to lower my accuracy expectations a bit.
