EDgun Leshiy 2 - Power/Velocity in .30 250mm

If you join club Leshiy, there is good bit of information on shooting the .30 and 9mm at low velocities. I tried it with the .30 at about 560 fps. It worked great for close ranges and I got quite a few shots per fill for such a large caliber.

Lately I’ve been testing reg settings where I could keep it the same and move from .25 .30 and .357. This way less degassing and messing up the o-rings. Etc. here’s what I’m doing:

350mm barrel

Normal HUMA reg at 95bar

sub 12 hammer spring.

i juat adjust the HST and that’s it. While you could totally fine tune, I just find the juice ain’t worth the squeeze.

youd be surprised how much variation in speed you can do with this. I had the 9mm going 680, and used the HST to bring it down to 495/500

You don't have to fish the spring out with a hook. First step is Decock the gun second step is remove the cocking pin third step pull the hammer out of the hammer well fourth step is pull the trigger fifth step is use a small tool to push the seer up and the spring of fall out on its own

Thank you for that info Brian. I did try the hybrid Huma regulator using the high power Huma plenum and the sub 12 regulator adjuster and shortened valve, but as tjflats says the juice wasn’t worth the squeeze. I was able to get similar results just using the the Huma high power regulator and standard valve.

TFlats99,

To confirm the text in bold above, you're using the complete normal Huma reg, including the larger plenum and un-cut valve? Or is this the normal Huma reg with smaller, sub-12 plenum and cut down valve?

correct. Normal Huma / Plenum. I use the Sub 12 Hammer Spring. Set the reg to 95, and I'm able to shoot 25, 30, and 9mm with a pretty big range just with HST adjustments.

Thank you. That's where I'm thinking about going with mine. Sub-12 hammer spring already installed but thinking I'm willing to give up some shot count at the lower end & have a bit more room to crank things up on the top end.

Food for thought: my 250mm-barrel Leshiy arrived running right about 125-ish bar on the reg. It was sending .22 JSB Ultra Shock with enough speed to push just over 35 FPE. That's a 25.39 grain .22 hollow-point that hits like a sledgehammer. I since tuned it down on the reg (maybe 100 bar?) and then adjusted HST until I was under 14 FPE. I've shot lighter weight NSAs (everything under 23 grain) as well as the copper-coated Kodiaks at the lower velocities, and at my shorter-range tests they all actually fly quite well. My point? If the original Leshiy offers this much adjustability, I see no reason 2.0 can't deliver on-par with it.

I'm tempted to get the HUMA and see about tuning for RWS Meisterdammit wadcutters, which remain my absolute favorite pesting pellet in .22.
