I just got my first fox last week. It happened with a small Leshiy2. What a fluke. Video is below if you want to skip the report.
I was heading back home from hunting squirrel and saw two fox in a field. I had my L2 geared up just because I sometimes see fox in the woods I hunt. The farmer said "Yes" but before I could get the L2 ready they were both gone.
I did not want to pass up the opportunity, so brain stormed and figured one went into to barn because I did not see it leave. So, it might come back out. I parked and 30seconds later, it came out. I barely slid on my Side-shot and lined up on a shot.
The fox was estimated at 65 yards (2nd zero was only 45 yards). I did not have any scope hash Mark's, it was only on 6x power. So I had to make a quick calculation holdover and wind. The cross- hair was at the side of its ass, and I pulled the trigger.
Dead. Upper neck shot, next to the back of the skull. Some luck, but mostly skills...
