EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2

Okay it looks like many of us had had issues, or imperfections in their guns. I know the covid situation has impacted everything, and I know Ed gave his video.

I do appreciate Ed’s engagement though it be nice to have some technical information to ensure you got what you paid for.

What issues did you have with the OEM gun / setup? I'm not busting balls... just curious. I've gotten quite a few photos of how some have arrived from Spain b/c people thought it was me who sold and shipped them that way, but that's a whole other story (and you can't say I didn't warn people)... but I digress. Just curious what issues and imperfections you had with the OEM gun. Tinkering and messing something up doesn't count.

@tflats99

1) Pressure regulator set at the wrong setting for a 4.5 mm / .177 caliber gun (see attached photo previously posted)

2) Grip no magnet attached in the base of the grip, no biggy and I already plan to find a different grip and replace it, mainly because my hand just doesn’t like it.

3) Based of the input of others I have ordered the pressure tester and complete port / jet thingies from Bryan at EdgunWest, which with shipping has just cost me another $260. I was told pretty much by @edgunleshiy this was the way to fix what shouldn’t be an issue. Someone else here stated that their L2 was also set at an incorrect pressure.

When I did the first chrony numbers, all posted, I was getting over 1000 fps / 300 mps from 8 gr poly mags and with JSB 13.43 gr monsters 24 ft/lbs & from 10.34 Heavies I was pushing an average 958 fps and 21/22 ft/lbs. I decreased the pressure to what should be in theory 120 bar from the labeled 130 bar (incorrect setting) and the heavies dropped to 932 fps average, this is more where a Heavy should still be but still a bit hot. Once the tester arrives I will start doing some serious measuring etc.

Again, the gun is beautiful, handles well, but far from not having kinks in it, and I am basing all of my views off the data / I have collected and posted myself. I have a background in engineering / science and material testing so I know testing methodology and I am halfway mechanically inclined.

So mistakes were made...now it up to the users to correct them and communicate to the dealers and manufacture to ensure other’s don’t get the same issues. Everything that happened were OEM...and nothing was changed and I mean NOTHING until yesterday evening.

If it isn’t or documented it isn’t done: I have done all the former and now setting this up right as I can once things arrive, the learn as you go approach because it wasn’t done right the first time by the master themselves.

Following these posts with interest. I do have an L2 .25/350mm on order with Edgunwest and believe that it will show up properly when Brian is ready to send it to me. I will not rush him b/c I do want him to love on it a bit before it gets to me!!

Blackpaw, I do remember very early on that you were pleasantly surprised to get your .177 so quickly, and that you wanted to ge it before another family member. And I know you have been down a few rabbit holes with all the posting you’ve done on the subject of L2....I think ctshooter is on to something...its possible that the manufacturing was on par and that the dealer dropped in a .177 barrel. Personally I think that is the most likely scenario. I’m not sure where supernova got his L2. Regarding pricing...we have no idea what the L2 was sold to the dealers for, only what the dealers are selling them to us for. Rest assured there is a markup...otherwise why in the world would any dealer do it?

In the end I understand that you guys are putting in a lot of hard work on your expensive guns and I get it.....shouldn’t have too, but on the bright side you will know volumes more about the L2 than most!

@molasar, but was there supposed to be one there when the rifle was shipped, or we add it ourself?

Yes, that is for magner, but the point is that the handles were sent to Brian directly, and I had no chances to install the magnet there and, franckly speaking I just forget about it, so I didn't tell him anything! Since I still use the "old" handles withou that magnet place! :) Sorry for that!

Blackpaw,

Looking at all the posting you’ve done...its apparent to me that you got a L2 powerhouse setup for .25/.30, with a .177 barrel. I’m not sure who fault that is, regardless it should have been recognized by the Dealer. That may be where the QC issue lies. Be sure that the manufacturer has control over his dealers. I think Ed keeps this under tight control....as there are very few Dealers for his products. Just an opinion and I’m sorry that your experience has not been the best, but appreciate your posts.

@beach-gunner and yes, some where my L2 aka Orion got mixed in the wrong herd and I was told get this spend this to fix it to where it should have been out of the box. I am doing that and yes, I am learning and yes, I got it quicker, but I was told most likely because I went for .177 cal vs the larger calibers which seem more popular.

@molasar I ordered the gun from Edgun.shop aka Francisco, and when I had the fill pressure issue he made it right. I did tell him and showed him photos of the mistakes made, the grip is just a comment, it is the gauge that “shows” sound / indicates my valves and stuff were put in the wrong pile. And now I have just spent today / yesterday $260 with shipping to get the pressure tester and jets sent to me here in the Netherlands from EdgunWest because Edgun.shop doesn’t have them yet, that I can see, and I want the issue resolved.

If someone can prove me wrong, please do...but it is what it is, just set me off when a YouTuber tells me because someone didn’t do their QC job it is up to me to fix it, aka spend more money, and well...me the sucker that is what I am doing.

Black paw you are saying your gun is shooting too hot for your tastes with 8 grain poly mags! And that with heavies your in the mid 900’s . I would say that is what a hunting gun should be set at in .177. If you want a lower FPE setting then make the adjustments like any other gun you get from the factory. But don’t say the gun came defective or out of spec because it is shooting too hot to your needs when someone else might think it’s the best thing ever. I like my guns shooting heavy ammo fast for FPE! I have bought a few Airguns in the last couple of years. Some were right from the factory and some the dealer offered to tune the gun for my particular wants or needs at an additional charge. The guns I got as shipped With factory settings I tinkered with and some I bought after market parts to make them do what I wanted . The new Leshiy 2 is no different. We are getting all these different configurations of calibers, and barrel lengths and we don’t know what type of tune the guns are coming with or capable of. We can’t say that all .177 , .22, .25, or .30 calibers have the same nozzles installed because the guns came as ordered with different calibers and barrel lengths which may have a bearing on which combination of nozzles are installed. My .22 x 350 came with what I feel is a perfect tune Nozzle set .3 and .7mm shooting 16 and 18 grain pellets just at 890 FPS. but the regulator was set at 134 which is 14 more than what is listed in the manual as what It says it would be. But someone’s .22 x 250 may have a different reg preasure and different nozzles to achieve that same tune for the lighter pellets. We don’t know. But I want to shoot heavy pellets around 900 FPS and raising the regulator isn’t going to do it alone. So just as my other guns I’m having to spend more money so I can make the gun do what I want it to. We had no idea what was going to be needed to tune these guns or even if it could be looking back. These new Leshiy 2’s were marketed as powerful new Hammerless technology , bla bla bla. This isn’t going to be as easy say as some other high end guns out there with all their external adjustments . Wait until you get your 12 sets of nozzles at $90 and you only need one or two at the most to achieve your tune your looking for. You might want to try drilling out the extra puck starting small and work up. You might find the Lower power your looking for but can simply switch back to the open puck in a different environment for more FPE.

@Leatherman - forget the puck for tuning - it's merely a transfer port. Not going to do much and definitely will not save air like a slower tune would.

I think what makes the best sense is to compile an ideal nozzle list for each barrel caliber/length combo.

You and I both agree that a 0.3mm and a 0.7mm is the ideal setting for the .22/350 barrel.

I shared last night that 0.2mm and 0.5mm is an ideal combo for the .25/450. With the potential to go 0.2mm and 0.4mm for peak power.

Edit to add that for the .22/250mm barrel I am finding 1.2mm and 1.2mm very efficient. With the 350cc tank I am using 1 bar per shot at 80 bar reg setting for 650fps out of the JSB 15.9gr.

I believe BlackPaw said his regulator came set to high from the dealer. I believe he posted a picture of the regulator with 130 written on it, when it should have been sent at 120 bar. If you look Brian‘s video at 3.55 min he says the .177 regulator pressure should be 110bar.

That is funny because more and more people in USA prefer to buy an EDgun from Spain because that dealer is so good and honest. I also ordered my guns from Spain.

No one prefers to buy from a guy in spain... they thought it was me. Get lost troll. You can see the result of your boy Frans handy work. These guys are getting hot messes delivered.

Ok guys I know blackpaw has had a few little set backs and I can definitely understand his feelings I would and have felt the same way before it's normal to try and understand why me? And how do I fix it the way it should be!! I get it and hope he works it out soon so he can just shoot and injoy. But

lets talk about bryan of Edgun west??? I have never seen a dealer work so hard for his clients am not kidding yes it's a friggen nightmare to make sure you have got all the parts and then build the guns then ship out to all his customers. He has to personally go to the usps to send every package off hundreds a day. Am not saying oh poor Bryan but dam he is good and fast as he can be to make sure all his customers gets what the payed for and he does this and runs a business as well thank you bryan for all you do I don't think you sleep hahaha but anyone who knows you knows you care and we appreciate it.

now as for all the scumbags who has come on and has talked so much bullpoop about Ed and his co. You are a troll who probably don't even own a Edgun leshiy gen1 or 2. Am sick of all the posts about accuracy I am not a good shooter but I do know you have a different kind of weapon now it's not like any others and it takes some practice to get the trigger down it's more of a fast snap not a pull which as you know will pull your shot? I can get MOA at 75 yards all day with my 30cal 350mm and as I said am not a great shooter but the leshiy2 is more then capable of MOA at 75 and 100yards. So stop the bullpoop it's you not the gun ok?

as for all the little things that's we have found to be a bit of a problem like the pin that's a little short when the leshiy2 is folded or the magnet not on the bottom of the Handel or power settings lower or higher it's a brand new airgun 1st of its kind this is nothing to make a fuss over because Ed will and has sent out replacement parts for and little problems so stop saying the leshiy2 was rushed out to fast and now we have problems? No these things is not because it was rushed it's because we are adding extras on the factory airgun like after market Valkyrie kits that's now cussed the folding stock to not lock. But Ed took care of it.

all am saying is haters will always hate and true customers who buy and like all Edguns know how wonderful Edguns are. I always say the leshiy2 is a ground braking design that has other airgun co. Crapping there pants because they never thought to think outside the box!! And Ed did all of this and he cares about all his customers that's why he even comes on this page to comment when he can no other co. Does this none that amazing to know how much he cares. So a big thank you Ed for all you have done and continue to do for all of us. As for all the haters go troll some place els we are all done with your bullpoop and no one wants to buy from the UK 🇬🇧 or the EU because our dealer is right hear in the good old USA 🇺🇸 he's name is Bryan of Edgun West. If we lived in the other countries then that might change. But we don't so F--k off. 😎

I have a Leshiy Classic with 350mm barrels in .22, .25, .30. I think the accuracy problem some people have is setting the power level too high. To push these guns to their limit you would need a barrel around 650mm to get target grade accuracy. Try turning the power level down a bit and using a heavier pellet and I think you will be happier in the accuracy department.

Good morning Ed, I think it would be a good idea if you could give us a list with the factory settings of the combination between regulator pressure and the jets that should come, so we can talk to our dealers, Brian, Francisco and the person in charge in uk, i don't remember his name, and they can check if the settings are ok before shipping. I think it would be a great idea, in order to avoid this type of problem or concern. We all know that there is a lot of pressure, thousands of orders and only hundreds of assemblies, and I know that this will cause you stress, because we all know that your intention is that we are all happy with our L2. We all appreciate that you have created something new and revolutionary and we know that you need some time to adjust it perfectly, so it would be nice to know how it should be adjusted, by barrel and by caliber. Thank you very much, and you will see how in a few weeks everything will go much smoother

That is what I am working at now. As soon as I have all data in table I will publish it.

Actually I preferred to buy my L2 from Spain as our U.K. dealer is not fit for purpose, had it not been for Fran.....myself and many many others opted to go without before giving that idiot a penny, and I have to say Fran genuinely is THE nicest dealer I’ve ever had the pleasure of doing business with, personally answers all my questions all hours of the day/night, very polite, very professional, i’m 100% happy with my purchase off him, as for people buying off fran thinking they were you...where’s your proof? As for people getting hot messes delivered....where’s your proof? And I don’t mean doctored pictures done by yourself to try and take a mans livelihood down over a domain name or whatever else it is you clearly have against this man...honestly your an adult...behave like one, every forum, Instagram or Facebook page I’m on I see your personal vendetta playing out, I used to enjoy your videos and think you were very professional...not any more!

First, today was the first day I could go out to my "range" and the farmer wants me there at dawn before he starts working. When I got to my permission it was 3 C or around 35-37 F. The gun hasn't been adjusted since I did so Monday night, and had the 300 cc bottle filled to around 250-260 bar when I left the house. I used 10.34 grain pellets, but I might switch to monsters after today. I sent the target out around 30 m / 35 yards, maybe a bit further. I shot 8 plus magazines and fiddled with the zero, and I have to say I am coming to like the Hawke scope less and less. Out of the 8 plus magazines I had several 4/5 shot groups around 1/4 to 3/4 of an inch. I should have brought a larger sand bag for the rear, and I know part of it was me, the trigger is so different from my Taipan and Impact. I do think the gun has accuracy potential sub moa in .177 at 50 m / 55 yards after I get it set up properly once the parts arrive, see more below.

Okay, @leatherman I see where you are coming from and yes, maybe defective is the wrong word, but I had ft/lbs with original settings producing up to 25 ft/lbs of energy in a 177, this is Daystate Redwolf HP range. I don't want to get into a shouting match with anyone, this forum has been great on helping me solve the issue and Francisco of @edgun.shop told me he is sorry and is going to send me the jets I want at no cost to me. I don't have the different sized pucks, only the 3 joule and full power. Maybe the gun should be set to a 110 bar, once I get the tester I will start messing around with the gauge and jets.

@jlr1969 Thank you and as I have shown I am not just pulling this out of my butt, but have shown proof and data. AND I fully agree with @JLR1969 the customer service for the lifecyle for Edguns is some of the best I have seen. Bryan @edgunwest, Francisco at @edgun.shop and Ed @edgun have been super helpful in getting people's issues resolved, there are bums, but I have said the former before (several times I think) about ever one. Hell, my Impact showed up after an 8 week wait without the valve spring, thus that shows the gun wasn't QCed properly at FX before it was shipped.

I have ordered the tester and the jets variety pack from Bryan, which he said he was shipping yesterday. The tester and jets and if not stopped in Dutch customs for VAT, cost me $260 / 240 euros and Francisco is shipping me the proper jets in the next few days. I don't "need" the pressure tester, but without it people say, like with a chrony I am flying blind, and I agree.

In the end, I know things will get resolved, but after hearing about your nephew having covid19, losing a major contract on an important project, and $2600 invested into a gun (not including scope) or stuff from Bryan, which isn't @edgunleshiy quote "perfectly tuned out of the box". Then told oh just buy more to make it right, then please understand I have had a short fuse the last previous two days.

But the support I have gotten to solve the issues from Francisco and Ed, plus the people on the forum, I truly appreciate it and will buy another EdGun in the future, probably a Matador.

I, too, have small niggles with my L2. But nothing you don't get on any gun. Stuff that falls a little short of perfect, but is functionally fine.

About the only real issue that is kinda big to me that I haven't addressed yet or seen addressed since first posted has to do with the accessories. Specifically the lack of clearance for an M-lok attachment on the aluminum hand guard with a Tishina shroud/moderator installed. The gent that posted that had one ugly gouge all around the circumference of his shroud from the mounting hardware for his M-lock pic rail. The reason I bought that mod and that setup was expressly for the M-lok capability. I've been waiting to see if anything gets posted, kinda wrapped up in the first set of issues, and have been out actually shooting the gun, so to date I've yet to do anything about it. But right now it stinks 'cause it's not setup like I want it or wanted it out of the box.

But I freakin' love this little machine! The issues right away, as I first put it together, put a damper on things. So the first month or so it was a chill relationship...we were feeling each other out. But as of two weeks ago the passion has kicked into high gear! I don't want to stop filling her to see if the last thing I did fix the reg tester...

A .22/350mm 40 fpe powerhouse hunting machine. Accurate, Light, folding, a breeze to handle and shoot off-hand, there's not much for me to hate on this gun. I got exactly what I thought I was going to get when I placed my deposit. Are there things I can gripe about, of course. Does it feel incomplete or rushed, not in the least.

Brian @EdgunWest has been nothing but the best to me in every point of contact.

Hunting machine!
