EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2

I got this in the mail today. Holy cow this is precision tooling. Every valve has the hole size engraved on the head. Get your reading glass’s on. I’m going to get a little fishing lure box with dividers to keep all my Leshiy 2 parts organized in so they don’t get misplaced or lost. 
Blackpaw . You will see very little difference in velocity by increasing your regulator pressure alone. I increased mine from 134 to 151 bar and only got 20 FPS more on my .30 x 450mm . We will see the real increases with smaller nozzles. As you can see the nozzles range from 0.2 to 1.3 . My .22 x 350mm rifle came set up 134 bar with one nozzle marked #7 with a sharpie pen. The other nozzle has no marking . Assuming it also is a 0.7 the total nozzle volume would be .14. We were told .30 calibers came with 0.4 nozzles for a total of 0.8 and Regulators set at 130 bar. I’m going to take a guess and say most owners are going to want to increase the Leshiy 2 power up so the larger size nozzles will never be used but this is uncharted ground with this new valve and nozzle technology. I’m sure barrel length will come into play as well. I’m going to change the nozzles to # .4 and see what I get out of the .30 x 450. 

I did a little comparo on the two nozzles that mine came with. I decided the smaller on was a 0.3mm and the larger one a 0.7mm.

Since I have the .25/450mm barrel installed I decided to have some quick tuning with it. I stuck the 0.2mm on one side and did a small range on the other nozzle. Reg set to 100 bar. JSB 33.95gr pellet.



I'll probably stick with the 0.2mm/0.5mm nozzle setup for .25/450 barrel.

Considering the .30/350mm barrel has slightly more volume than the .25/450mm I might go 0.2mm/0.4mm for that setup. I'll test it out eventually. If you're going with the 0.30/600mm barrel you might need to go solid screw/0.2mm to get the efficiency from the longer barrel.

Tomorrow I'll do some testing with a .22/250mm barrel. I'll probably start with a 0.4mm for one nozzle and then start around 0.5mm on the other. I'll post results.

It looks like the .2 and .4 is the optimum valve tune for your 450 barrel but I would Want more FPS out of a .25 for hunting. It would be interesting to see what using the reg does to these figures 10 bar at a time to see how it may effect the valve dwell and velocity as well. 

@Leatherman - the 0.2/0.5 setup is basically where I've been with my temp nozzle mod before these nozzles were available. With the reg at 140 I was pushing the .25 34gr pellets at 895fps so there's plenty of room there for an easy 60+ FPE. 100 bar is a nice setup for the 25gr at 875ish fps.

Let me know how your testing with the .30/450mm barrel goes. 

.25/450mm volume = 14.25 cc

/30/450mm volume = 20.52 cc

You've got about 35% more volume to fill in that .30/450 barrel. After you get a benchmark with 0.4/0.4 I would put in a 0.2mm and then start at 0.5mm and work down to 0.2mm taking chrono readings at each point. I think you've got a lot more power to find in that barrel than 0.4/0.4.

RE Chrono readings: I've been dropping my first shot for chrono purposes as it always seems to be a few fps hot.

This is with 250mm / .25 / 150bar and a .30cal DonnyFL Ronin + extension (shooting 34gr MKIIs at 860fps). Just using a little 14mm x 1/2-20 adapter that I made, but this test proved to me that this revolver platform can be silenced to an extraordinarily low report!

@leatherman I actually want to decrease pressure down to a point I get more typical .177 velocities and ft/lbs of energy. As I have stated and shown in the data I’m pushing easily over 950 fps to 22 ft/lbs with 10.34 grain and 24/25 with 13.43 Gr jsb pellets. 

ALSO, yesterday I was a bit irked when I cleaned the barrel (yes I was careful in reinstalling the shroud so it was evenly tightened) at and my shot string went to hell, 40 plus shots and it still not settling and this before I decreased the pressure 5 min of angle. Now with the pressure change I’ll see what I get and report back my data, I hope more normal fps for a .177 caliber because in theory I’m running at 120 bar. Or should be. 

I'm gonna need to take a crash course with all these nozzle combinations and tuning when the time is right. All this talk is kind of going over my head for now until I know how the system works. Keep the info coming.

Any changes with the accuracy? What is the model of your NF? It’s worth the price? The new length folded now? Too many questions.... sorry and thxs. 

Okay quick update on the pressure reduction:

Last night I reduced the pressure in the Leshiy 2's regulator from the 130 bar (see photos) to 120 bar going 5 mins of angle / 10 degrees clockwise rotation. My understand is that the Leshiy 2 in .177 should be set at from the factory at 120 bar, if I am wrong please correct me.

I did a LONG shot string, just shy of a 100 shots, and the snapshot of the Excel graph shows the data I got, and the gun started to behave a bit more pellet on pellet. However, not as good as before I cleaned the barrel. I would say group size increased by 1.5 to 2 times before cleaning, but I have changed the regulator pressure and added the 300 cc bottle. AND the pellets were from a new unopened tin I received last week from Krale.

However, I did get kind of the result I wanted, but I might try the JSB 13.43 grain Monsters later in the week to see if the gun likes them more. Last test showed the STD tightest shot to shot for the Monsters of the three JSB pellets I tried. The difference in FPS after reducing the regulator pressure (flying blind without my tester which was ordered yesterday) was approximately 20 FPS.

Please provide me your input, and as far as I know this is one of the longest shot strings posted so far and I used my FX Chrony to measure the pellets.

One thing I did do last week is purchase the DonnyFL adapter for the Uragan and it fit the Leshiy 2's barrel just fine. I tested out noise reduction vs the standard shroud with my .22 Tanto and 25/30 cal Sumo, but the Leshiy 2 is in .177. NO perceived reduction in noise levels when I tried the two moderators vs the standard shroud so I just reattached the shroud.

@mtnghost: do you think I need to get the Ronin in say .22 cal to reduce the noise of the gun? Or should I wait for the new DonnyFL moderator @edgunwest showed?

Your readings is the exact same as mine with the larger plenum with the 44gr jsb's. I went from all factory settings nothing touched straight out of the box 807fps to 810fps then I put the large plenum on for my Carbon fiber bottle to get better length of pull and noticed my fps went to 827 to 832fps. And I never did nothing but put the larger plenum on so I was happy I also noticed it was a bit more efficient. Thank you for your post because this is a Corbin copy of my readings I got my reg is still at 130. On my 30cal 250mm I did not want to change it till I got better feed back from the jets. It's a funny thing I used to have fun with RC cars and trucks a good friend of mine who also has a leshiy2 told me the same thing this airgun is a lot like them RC card because they also use jets just like these ones we have to make pressure in the engine to make them go faster hahaha. Thanks everyone for all your feed back it helps all of us learn how this little wonder works.

@jld1969 and @supernov8 I see that you both said your regulator pressure was set to 130 bar, and you have 25 / 30 cals Leshiy 2s, when mine is in .177, but had a regulator pressure setting of 130 bar not 120 bar like it should have been. So some where in the EdGun factory there was an error in the QC when my gun's regulator was set, not a big deal, and I am correcting it, but still irritating.

@supernov8 on the quality control yeah the safety should not be an issue I had the same with my Brocock. Thanks for the advice with the alcohol but I generally don’t use any oh my guns just some degrees here but I’ll check it to make sure it doesn’t have an isopropanol base. I did send Francisco a text letting him know about the regulator pressure not being properly set for my gun. I mentioned to Francisco he might want to check the other guns to make sure they’re set correctly per factory specifications and again not a big deal but for a €2200 gun. Now if I can just get it to settle. Tomorrow I’ll try some longer ranges and see if the groups
