EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2

Got the time to finally shoot some paper targets and get a better idea of the shot count with the .25 . With the gun filled to 250 bar I get 7 magazines worth before any change in POI at 30 yards. I could stretch it out to 8 but the shots have dropped by 1/2” at 30 by then. I had a wee bit of wind coming from my right and with the 3x scope I’m using was able to shoot 1/2” at 30 freehand with 4 shots groups consistently with the Kings . Absolutely no chance that the game I’ll be hunting will be able to survive a clean shot inside 40 yards. That’s not the best efficiency but it is 2 magazines more than I thought I would get. I also got to shoot some more of my cast 41gn BBT and the POI at 30 was just over where I was aiming with the kings. As for the accuracy the groups opened up just slightly at this close of a range. I think they will do just fine for hunting bigger critters like snowshoe hare. I’m very impressed with this rifle , not one misfire, no flyers, no air tank dumps even below 100 bar , hits what I’m aiming at every time.

Anyone replaced their grip? I had a Magpul MOE without the beavertail and it didn't work - looking for other options.

Are you saying that it didn't work because it doesn't fit your grip or did you have an installation problem?

it will fit, but the screw was too long i think - i was short on time, maybe need to get a shorter one?

You can't use the grip screw that comes supplied with an aftermarket AR15 grip. You have to use the factory L2 grip screw and add washers or a spacer so the screw doesn't interfere with the safety. You could also use a shorter grip screw but in metric threads. This video from Brian explains it well.

Thank you!

Hey chaps,

Currently machining up a prototype small compact hand tool for quick adjustment of the external adjustable regulator (E.A.R. REPR). Made from Aircraft grade alloy with an Acetal/Delrin post and Stainless Steel pins. Finish will be black anodised.

These will be available for purchase at a very reasonable price. Updates to follow soon.

Thanks

Feel free to send me one for permanent beta testing, lol

How come nobody has come up wit a 3D magazine for the L2 if someone has tinkered with this I could use 30 calibers :)

That would be quite easy to model but one would still have to ad the magnet and metal axle, also I do not think the indexing part would hold, I did do a model of the basic mag as a loader for the speed loader

Unless someone comes up with a way to quieten down the indexing system it's never going to be a quiet gun. I've modded and tried various silencers options and the muzzle report is pretty dam quiet now and no louder than any of my other rifles at muzzle. Most of the noise is now from the indexing system.

Maybe a shroud that flips over the top of it all? It reminds me of the ping some guns have, when you are shooting you notice it. When someone else is shooting it and your 10ft away the gun seems really quiet.

Cranky1, I think you’ve hit it on the head. Whenever I am on my deck shooting at my targets 25-35 yards away, the gun sounds loud-ish to me, but my wife say she can hardly hear it. My sons were visiting last weekend and shooting it while I watched. I was struck by how quiet the gun was. The pellet hitting the target/backstop was much louder than the muzzle report. BTW, I have the Akula Mod40 combo on my 350mm .25 barrel.

I’m running the mod40 on a 350barrel in 22 at 29ish fpe. I was just a little disappointed in how loud the gun seemed till my wife started shooting it. I think the two biggest sounds is the mechanics of the gun and the impact of the pellet. I know working around in power plants and other plants a lot of machinery has a insulated shroud over it. When you pull one of those shrouds you better have ear plugs or double protection.
I’m just wondering if the same principle could apply with a cap that covers the top of the mech to reduce the perceived noise.

Anyone know if you can push the Factory Reg past 160 I want to try Slugs and My reg is currently at 160 shooting Hades 44.75 just below 900FPS is this sufficient for Slugs

The YouTube channel EDgun leshiy was shooting avs slugs at much slower than that, and they were lasers apparently. Not sure if avs has a special slug formula for the leshiy, but check his videos out

IIRC, according to Ed and Brian, the old reg shouldn't be adjusted pass 160 bar. The newer transverse reg in the REPR allows you to adjust it much higher up to 258 bar from what I recall. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
