EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2

Swapped out my regulator and gauge today with a Huma regulator and a Sekhmet Digital gauge. Hopefully the Huma regulator will make my shots a little more consistent especially the first shot.

I have .30 350mm barrel. Reg. pressure set at 150bar. Factory #2 jet with a screw plugging the second hole. JSB 50g shooting 820fps and 44.75g shooting 845fps. Both good for 3/4” groups at 50 yards. Very happy with this setup. I get 3 magazines with a 250bar fill. Went prairie dog hunting last weekend and boy did they pop when you hit them.

Please let us know how the Huma compares with the stock one, especially with the creeping. I am getting creep with mine. First shot is always off. I am going to take mine apart and polish the washers and see if that works. I’m running mine at 160 bar with my 30 caliber.

Have you checked for creep with a regulator tester?

Shot the gun tonight over the chronograph. First shot was 833 FPS the second was 766 for a difference of 67 FPS. The first shot was a little over 1 Inch higher than the second which accounts for my first shots missing after sitting overnight. I shot a string of 9 shots and I got a spike again at shots 5 and 6 , see target middle bullseye. It shot high again at 810 FPS. I switched to JSB 50.15 grain pellets and I shot the my best 5 shot group yet at 5/16” but notice how tight a velocity spread there was. I then switched to the Hades and shot 8 shots when it fell off the reg. So I pulled the reg and polished the washers using 3000 grit then 4000 grit sandpaper and lubed it a little and put it back in. I’ll test it again tomorrow.

After sitting for a few hours, my first shot is usually 0.5 Mil high. I haven't experienced the jumps like you have at shots 5 and 6.

What do you have your reg set to for .30/350mm barrel? I don't think the 65bar shown in the picture would net you anywhere close to the power you are getting. Mine is set around 120 bar, but I've noticed reg creep at all settings.

I'm curious to know how the Hume reg settles down the first shot, but I'm not in a rush as I can always pop off a shot and then I'm fine for a session.

Sorry I meant 165 bar on the reg. I just put the reg tester on after polishing the reg washers tonight and filled to 200 bar. The tester said 162 bar. So we will see what it says in the morning. I have my rifle on the bench in my garage / shop ready if I see a groundhog or chipmunk on my property this time of year. I can’t pop off a shot to settle my reg every time I see something. Shouldn’t have to either. Hopefully it’s just some dirt or corrosion in the reg.

When I first receive the L2 my first shot would be much higher then the rest of the shots if I had not fired it in a while. I believe after removing reg back-and-forth between the large plenum and the stock plenum and cleaning it. A high first shot has been reduced. My initial impressions of the huma air regulator is it performs very similar to my stock reg with a standard deviation of 2.8 over 16 shot, with no high fist shot. I have not been able to do anymore testing yet do to a magazine cycling issue(broken valve pin ball, waiting on a replacement part to arrive). I will follow up with how huma air reg performs after I get a couple hundred shots through it.

Also after following some instructions I received from @raxim777 to adjust the stopper screw on the breech face. I now have a noticeable difference in sound reduction using the moderator insert.

Looks like Huma has a handful of different after market hand guards available now which is nice to see. However the higher plane of the rail throws off the look and could impact certain sizes of scopes. Sure they did it to fit the Mod 40.

how much does such a body kit cost?

Looks like the one shown is about $120 US.
