Economical Fill Station Project

Decided to get into Pcp’s but had no idea what all was involved. Found out real quick a hand pump was not an option. After reading countless reviews and YouTube I decided to get a Yong Heng and a 30 min SCBA tank. I was a Paramedic for 32 years I felt very comfortable these tanks even if they are a little outdated. I also added 45 min tank, Air/Oil Filter, No Name Fill Station and a StikBoy Fill station Best of all total cost for all including the water bucket and the Christmas tree stand for the filter less than $650. Felt this was a good price for pretty much unlimited air.

Nice setup. Be sure and use 100% synthetic air compressor oil like Royal Purple SynFilm to keep that compressor running well... FYI, try and keep the inlet to the filters physically above the outlet of the compressor.

When your tank is full, the tank valve is shut, and compressor is off, use the compressor vent valve to vent the system, and not the tank vent. Then once at zero, leave the compressor vent open, and start and run the compressor for about 30 seconds. this will help blow any accumulated condensation out of the system. After that you can turn off the compressor and disconnect everything.
 
Nice set up and cheapest. I started with a yong Heng with gold filter too. But hate the setting up the water bucket every time I fill. So saved up and got a hatsan lighting. Nice to just turn it on and not having drag that 5 gallon bucket around.

Yea I can understand the bucket issue. That's why I did the setup like that. The water stays in the bucket covered. Obviously it gets changed some but so far I haven't ran the compressor above 50C. I keep the tanks topped off and refill when they drop to about 3200 psi. So far so good. 
 
I have mentioned this before in other threads but I'll bring it up again. Having the coolant container three feet under the compressor is at about the limit of what the standard water pump can lift. It is probably not a big issue as the siphoning effect will counter the uphill push on the little aquarium pump. I actually like the idea of a remote cooling system as it allows for the unit to be a lot more compact and you don't need to lug around the extra weight of the coolant. If you've got access to mains power, you should have access to town water. I use fresh water every time I use mine and I dry the water jacket with compressed air after use to avoid internal corrosion.
