it was was a beautiful Arizona morning. Temperature just right for shooting, about 67°. Unfortunately when you factored in the windchill factor it felt like 50. During the first heat which started at 7:10 wind speed was 8 to 18 miles an hour on average. About two or three minutes into the heat about a 25 mile an hour gust came in and knocked over 30% of the targets. To say it was a challenge shooting in the wind is an understatement. Gerry shot next to me shooting a 177 Thomas rifle. I give him all the credit in the world for not hitting my target thanks Jerry great shooting. Next to Gerry a gentleman covered himself in a blanket to stay warm. So between shaking at the bench from being cold the targets swaying in the wind and your Windage hold anywhere between 1 to 2 1/2 mills it definitely was extreme. Not knowing any of the scores I bet the average score for the first heat probably averaged 125 points a card we will see
