eBay is crazy, one massively overpriced Impact

So, for chuckles I cruise eBay every now and then for airgun stuff. Found a brand new, Impact MK2

Now, you might observe that the price is a tad high, well, maybe more than a tad high, maybe about 2 and a half times what it should be. An M2, .25, 700mm barrel, for, wait for it,

wait for it, wait for it, ------------------------- $3599 plus $112 shipping.

FX IMPACT mk2 .25 Cal 700mm Barrel | eBay

Considering a new MK3 is only $2200 in the same configuration seems a bit high. I messaged the seller and asked what made it so special, but doubt I'll get a response.

Do y'all remember the drama stuff Storm that we had a few months back when a member had.some pellets listed for 12.00 a tin when those same pellets sell for 7.00 a tin at the Walmart??? He was nearly run out of town for the audacity of selling at the same price as was listed on ebay, rather than at bottom dollar. The knives were out for him in a bad way.

Remember that what is good for the goose is good for the gander.

OK, Market determines the price. If someone offers a massively overpriced gun, and someone else is willing to pay the price, well, that's the market. for me, it's always been fascinating how the used market works, and how some guns are in such high demand and some not. If this seller can find someone willing to pay $3600 for an older model, maybe there's something the buyer is really desperate for. Personally I don't care, I won't pay the price.

This was just so outrageous, so over the top in my opinion, had to post it as a warning to others, just because it's on ebay doesn't mean it's a good price and to have a good laugh.

and if you noticed the seller's ratings - 100% with 1 sale, probably to himself. This listing is just rife with problems.

Buyer beware, this is just one example!

like i said, i don't think that people actually pay those prices, and it just puts the seller's post at the top of the search results because it is the oldest, and they will update the listing with a reasonable price when they actually have one. this is happens on gunbroker all the time for guns that are in demand.

Well, this listing ended. Interestingly, eBay lists it as SOLD! Not knowing what shenanigan's might have been pulled as the seller has 1 (yes, One!) successful sale other than the supposed Impact sale, my suspicions are aroused as to the successful sale. Me suspects something else going on. Oh well, was entertaining to talk about for about 20 seconds. . . . .

Update - What a hoot - I just received an offer to purchase said gun for, $3299, so, no, it did not sell.. . . . . . .eBay shenanigans abound!
