Since summer is here and just about every convoluted Airgun match and show is canceled, i had a little time to hopefully inspire some of you to build a solid shooting platform. The cost for me was just over $120 and another 2 hrs to build. The result is a terrific shooting bench that I can use as well as other members of my club can too. Let me know what you think and don’t forget to subscribe.

Great stuff.  I'm currently building a smithy out by the regular knife shop. I've got a range set up there as well and am leveling out the area to frame in with railroad ties and put mulch in.  When I'm done, I'll have a nice area to set up a bench.  Currently, I use an old school desk that I modified, but this gives me incentive to upgrade from that setup.

    Nicely done, sir!

I’ve been thinking about what kind of bench to build. After watching your tutorial I’m going to build the one you made. Thanks!

Thank you! With any luck I’ll be house hunting sometime in the next year and will need one of these. It looks easy enough that anyone can make it.

I built the same bench last year and used Trex decking for the top. It’s a great bench, very sturdy and super easy to build. We took a few liberties like the Trex, some storage areas and a basket underneath for storing glasses and shooting bags and such but it’s in essence, the same bench. Thanks for sharing!

Now we’re talking! Good luck on the build @oledawg and make sure to share some pictures once it is completed.
