l've never seen that many in a flock. My son said there were even more still on the roost. Ha, your right. It does look like a Jurassic Park herd. I'm glad they're not ten feet tall

I used to sit on a butte near O.C. Fisher lake in San Angelo and watch the flocks. Big flocks like that one. People say Turkeys are smart. I don't think they are smart but they have the best darn early warning system on the planet. If you watch about 20% of a flock will have their heads in the air looking around at any given time.

I agree they are pretty stupid, but are very wary and have great vision. Turkey hunters tell me that it not easy to get them within shot gun range. The first wild turkey I saw was only 15 years. They have really done well in a relatively short period of time.
