Early Daystate Regal XL Christmas Present

MrJohns,
She's shot under 1/2" at 50 yards, very accurate and quiet gun. You do have to keep the bore clean or accuracy vanishes. From a 2600 psi fill I get 28 shots within 25 fps ES. I love the light weight and comfortable stock, just need a sling to make it perfect for hunting. I'm thinking about a Velcro strap for the forward attachment as there's not enough wood in the forearm for a stud.
Merry Christmas to all!
John

"mrjohns"Zebra I just asked if they would find me a rifle that was dark and had a little figure in the buttstock. They found me one.
I always try to do something similar and while they always say things like "I'll find you the best one we have", they then go on to send me the worst one ever made.

Sometimes I find myself thinking "are my standards too high?" But then I have to put a halt to those thoughts because I refuse to believe anyone is happy with a cracked stock or one with chunks of wood missing.

The Daystate regal I had did have nice wood but nothing like yours. Knowing my luck, mine was probably the worst one ever sold by Daystate which is still pretty good compared to other brands.

I can't think of any other mainstream air guns brands that use nice wood on their factory stocks. I've seen a few that have nice wood on a few but none where it's the norm.

Beautiful Regal mrjohns. One of the nicest stocks I have seen. Enjoy that accurate Xmas present.

I use a crown saver to clean my barrels. Works great and its safe on airgun barrels. Patches with Prolix is what I use for treating/cleaning the barrel. Prolix is also good for lubing pellets. Dries hard like a wax so it doesn't get all over your fingers. If you buy the Prolix get the spray bottle its make lubing easier, 3 sprays for a tin of pellets.

Been thinking about a sling for my Regal as well. if you look here, you'll see AOA has the Artemis (fancy Regal) with the stock screw in the fore end. Also, eBay has a nice looking butt plate that attaches for the rear mount. I ordered one from their UK facebook page for about $50 shipped.
