Dynamic Air Rifles??

You will not get a ton of high power shots from the 25. I get about 2 magazines of JSB 33.95 grain pellets which go about 770-775 feet per second from a stock rifle before it starts to lose steam. Obviously, with lighter ammo you'll get better velocities and perhaps a few more shots. Mine is very accurate out to 50. Have not tried to take it out farther.

You'll have to search to find an after-market attachment to get a moderator (if one exists) or make your own or just live without one like me because I didn't buy mine to be backyard friendly.. Trigger is OK (not great but predictable at least) but be prepared to almost break your allen wrench getting the initial turn done. Lightweight and short so good to carry but doesn't come with sling studs. You can attach your own in about 10 minutes and for about 20 bucks though. Setting the magazine in the chamber is not exactly solid. You will have to learn it, but it doesn't take long to do that. It's so cheap you have to expect some flaws.

I just bought a Umarex Origin in 22 because it does not have a regulator to go bad or give problems. Thats ONE less thing to worry about that WILL eventually fail sooner or later and require service.

The Origin also has 2 power level curves that Hajimoto made a video review on.

THATS WHY I BOUGHT IT plus only 13 hand pumps from ZERO AIR PRESSURE to get at least one good shot ready to fire. Other guns of similar nature and size and power need like 50 pumps (OR MORE) to get ONE decent shot from ZERO PRESSURE.

Specifically very hand pump friendly this gun...

Pump to ONLY 2200psi... For the HIGH POWER. More power than a Benjamin Maximus and just about as easy to pump.

It will likely last a good while since I don't plan on shooting slugs anyway so I'll have no reason to ever pump it to 3635psi.

HERE'S WHY I bought my Umarex Origin b4 a DAR Gen2... The Origin's plastic stock is by far superior to my ATI Nova Liberty (Same hollow cheap feeling plastic stock type like the Avenger) and trigger and noise level are much better as well.

Your really liking that Origin eh? I've had an Umarex and it left a sour taste for me. As for the Avenger, hard pass. You are dead on correct about this rifle. I knew not to buy into the platform because of the Nova Freedom Liberty platform.

I do like my Umarex Gauntlets.

Their GAUNTLET-ORIGIN 3 YEAR WARRANTIES added piece of mind.

The Origin's included hand pump has only a one year warranty but never even took it outa the box to assemble it and my old faithful $40 Chinese Amazon hand pump is easy enough and easier to pump than my $200 Hill MK3.

THATS THE MAIN REASON WHY I WENT WITH IT. 3 YEAR WARRANTY.

I would have even chanced the Avenger and shoot it like I stole it if it had the UMAREX 3 YEAR WARRANTY.

I would recommend the Origin or DAR over the Avenger any day of the week. I've reviewed all three guns and the Avenger was the only one of the three I wasn't allowed the opportunity to long term review. After not showing the same spectacular performance other reviewers were getting and calling the stock "cheap" I guess my services were no longer needed and a return lable was sent to me. I honestly had no problems with the gun but had a hard time believing that a 300 bar fill was a good choice for "entry level". Both the DAR and Origin are hand pump friendly and in my opinion much better made and capable of regular abuse.

Crossman 999,

I have been trying to read what i can about the DAR and the Avenger . i do like the videos i have saw on the DAR. And in all honesty i will probably be using a hand pump , instead of an electric pump.. From what i have understood DAR has been really good in customer support on previous air guns.. I really want a airgun that hopefully will last a good while..

The hand pump Bemjamins and Sheridans are kind of a standard that i compare other air guns to...

Avenger's ... I had 2 ... .22 and .25 both had problems both were sent back for refund WAY TO CHEAP-LY MADE ! reg kreep /poppet seal problems hammer adjuster was garbage on both guns stocks are a complete joke look and feel like a little kids toy gun ! ...

I have 2 = gen 2 DAR guns they also have issues low quality terrible o rings and poppets that have a hard time sealing because sealing point is micro thin= bad design ,... Dar is working on these issues my .22 is at their repair warranty place right now , i think if we had a peek poppet and good quality o rings this would be the very best 300-400 buck guns ... the design and quality of materials and build are way better than the cheap plastic Avenger .... its crazy how they skimp on O rings and a good poppet and cause themselves problems/ loose sales ,and reputation over a few bucks spent to have a reliable product ... when are these companies going to learn ?

You say DAR uses low-quality O-rings. If I were to replace them, which "higher" quality O-rings should I use? I didn't realize tiny rubber O-rings could actually differ, as you say.

Thanks!
