Dynamic Air Rifles .25

Yes I have the DAR 25. It's really good so far. Need to try different ammo. Err maybe not. But just to see how others work

Thanks to Dana, I became aware of this rifle..

Here's my zero target

The trigger is not the best but it is a 2 stage and is adjustable. The second stage has a lot of creep so if you are a trigger snob either you'll have to pass or possibly dismantle the trigger and tweak further. However the weight on the the trigger is fairly light. I have not measured mine yet but I guess its about 2lbs.

Cosmetically the gun is great. I have heard some people question the stock quality. Not a problem for me. I bought this for field use and I know how to remove the finish and redo... If desired.

There's no hammer spring adjustments or moderator adjustments which are externally available. But I don't like tweaking guns, I just like shooting them. If I need more power I just use one of the EDguns I have instead.

The regulator is not externally adjustable. The hammer spring tension is, sort of. It’s at the back of the receiver...you do need to remove the one stock bolt to get full access to it. If you really want it to be permanently accessible, you can carve out the stock. It’s a once-and-done thing for any given regulator setpoint so I didn’t bother.

Oh, I just wanted to say I agree on the trigger. That was the one thing I felt I had to do with my gen 2. Polished up the contact points and added washers on each side of the trigger blade and sear.

Lastly, I added a spring plunger to give it a tactile wall just before the sear breaks. Works beautifully. An M4 works well if you have the trigger polished up and adjusted for a light pull. Step up to an M5 if your trigger is a bit heavier, otherwise you may not be able to feel it.

I do not. That was a measurement of the first few rounds. After I got down to more than 8 shots it was definitely mid 700s (730-760). So I wouldn't put too much faith in getting 20 shots at that speed. I just happened to notice the first few flew at 775. just to be clear. I will try to get a real string measurement for an entire magazine at some point.

Well it looks like the shroud is an M18.5 x 0.75 thread.

I feel good about the thread pitch measurement...both 0.7 and 0.8 gauges slowly diverge while the 0.75 meshes perfectly.

I'm iffy on the 18.5mm figure. I expected an integer value. My end cap's major diameter measures 18.42mm (0.725")...too far away from 19mm to make sense. The tube's minor diameter measures 17.83mm (0.702") if that helps solidify it.

Nice Nervoustrig. I didn't make any adjustments to my gun and it definitely looks like Gen1 can still get 760s-70s pretty well consistently on that gun. Will see if I can go out tomorrow. I need to re-zero my other 25 so I might have a report if I get the time. I think part of the variation in FPS I got when shooting may have been due to the gun cooling down from 70-40 degrees in short order.
