After 20+ years of running excellent quality Field Target matches at Dutchess County Pistol Association (DCPA) Ray and Hans Apelles have stepped down as Match Directors, due to their recent move to further upstate New York. This left DCPA'S Field Target program up in the air for future competition, and existence.
When all looked a little bleak, with the club possibly folding, up to the rescue comes 2 time former World Champion, Mr. PAUL CRAY!!!
Not wanting to allow the hard work of the A Team go to the wayside, Paul recently met with DCPA officials, and has been voted in as the new Match Director for DCPA Field Target operations. This is great news, as DCPA has had a very good attendance record for a local club. It's not unusual to see 25+ competitors on a regular basis throughout the year. To not let this shooting venue fold up and fade away, much thanks and praise go to Paul Cray.
I wish Paul the best, he'll make an excellent Match Director for the growing future of DCPA.
