so I ordered a leapers 1 piece mount for my ruger Blackhawk elite 177. the mount has a stop pin but the gun doesn't have the hole. I know I can remove the pin but can I mark out the proper placement and drill it myself?

I have done that on a few rifles................but............. you have to make sure there is nothing that you will mess up drilling where you need the pin. I have even pulled the action off to make sure I'm not causing an issue by drilling. And it takes very little down pressure with the pin to do its job. Put a little blue threadlocker on the threads of the lock pin and it won't back out.
