The impact can produce more fpe

The Impact doesn't need a barrel band its far more solid than most guns as the barrel slides deep into multiple sections in the stock/block. I haven't run it over with my truck but I have leaned it in my safe and pulled it out by the barrel many times without poi shifting. BTW My Impact has the original S/T barrel.

Impact for me! I’ve leaned mine against a lot of trees and never missed a squirrel because of it (I’ve missed plenty of them for other reasons)most of the shots I take are inside of 50 yards so the little poi shift hasn’t had a minute of bushy tail affect !

Impact does have more power. My dreamline tops out around 50fpe in .25. I've had it to 60fpe with a huma reg and 2mm hammer spring shim, but at half the shot count, it didn't seem worth it.

My dreamline has been really stable though, I've taken it apart multiple times and it is always right on or one or two clicks from zero on re-assemble. Taken it hunting, leaning on trees, etc, and still spot on zero. Not like my marauder...

I got my Dreampup in November. It came with a barrel band on it. No poi shift

well I must be doing something wrong with my impact, I only need to breath on it a bit heavy and I get zero shift. I had a go at indexing the barrel yesterday. Without even touching the liner, slacken off the barrel nut, tighten back to exactly the same place I was getting 6” poi change ant 25yards.

I have given up on the barrel assembly, both the shroud and barrel nut are going in the bin. The liner is accurate but the constantly chasing zero is driving me crazy, until I get time to make a better engineered solution I am going to fit a LW barrel to the impact.

I have to say something has to be wrong with your gun ! I sat at my bench shot 3 rounds they landed a 1/2”-3/4” high at @50 yards picked my gun up off the bench by the moderator held it like I was going to club something set it back down shot 3 more times and my poi was 3/8” left of where the first 3 were no change in height at all ! Hope you find a remedy for your problem . It is a fun gun to shoot at least for me !

My impact does dime size groups at 85yds and I've got some tuning to go yet. Before you start throwing things in the bin, send them my way...or start a thread on the issue, I'm sure someone can help.

Mine will also shoot pellets through the same hole but put it away and take it out again and poi is off.

do you take the LDC off in between? maybe you are clipping it. This problem drove me crazy on a Winchester .45. We finally took the LDC off and the darn thing was accurate.

I have replaced the original shroud for a smaller, lighter and quieter carbon mod, it definitely shoots better but POI shift still occurs, I am 99% sure it’s the liner crush nut that is the cause. My impact is so sensitive to any handling.

I just put my first slug liner in today and have to admit, I found some dismay in the construction.

I pick it up by scope, body, stock, but never the barrel so I don't know if that's the issue.

Did see a thread in the last week about someone remaking the securement of the Impact's liner. IDK if it needs it, lots of folks out there getting good results w/ it as is.



Have you had the scope off and checked the picatinny rail is good and tight?



There's so many things it could be and I'm certainly no expert.

I bought my impact new, from day one there were numerous rattles and twangs every time I fired the gun, loose hammer, loose hammer spring, loose anti bounce spring guide, loose valve return spring (uk spec) a rattle from the shroud and the pellet doesn’t exit through the centre, although it doesn’t clip it can’t help either. I have already made it shoot a whole lot better but there is still a way to go before I will be happy with it.



I think it might have been me with the improvement to the liner security, I was going to fit it to my impact but decided to test the liner on one of my other guns that doesn’t suffer form poi shift. So I have had to order some more parts.

The Dreamline is a fine rifle for half the price of an Impact, so you can buy two of them rather than one Impact then have to buy extra barrels for $400 plus $70 for another magazine.

Yes er16 collet that holds the liner securely and concentric, it’s shockingly accurate it the test gun.
