Dream Tac Compact .22 Power Plenum?

I'm really thirsty for info on this topic myself.

Like Depechemode101 I'm new to PCP airguns. And I found myself gravitating towards FX Dreamline for my first purchase. I have been doing my best to figure out what rifle configuration to get, but it is not easy. It's not as easy as just buying one then branching off to one configuration or another. And Depechemode101 case is pretty good one.

One thing I've become aware of is it isn't easy to find a compact (380mm) barrel kit for the Dreamline for sale anywhere.

Also what's up with the 380mm barrel that has been seen in the FX factor tour video mentioned earlier. The one on the DTC being held by Jonathan (the FX rep for USA). And the DTC in the video that Matt Dubber did on his channel AirarmshuntingSA. Because in both video's the barrel shroud is thinner and has one continuous diameter from one end to the other. In my opinion have a barrel shroud like this would solve a lot of these compatibility problems.

Please chime in, cause I am still looking to get a Dreamline and I'm just trying to figure things out.

The Dreamline rifle version has the standard FX barrel system, liner, outer steel tube and then shroud, the Dreamtac Compact has the new SUPERLITE system which is just liner and shroud, doing away with the steel tube, practically all FX barrel systems will move towards this design eventually I suspect if it can be used on that particular gun.

You can still fit the standard barrel to the Dreamtac Compact, the Crown, Impact and Dreamline barrel breeech ends are all the same, all that is different is the shroud in the standard system, or whether it is the SUPERLITE in the Crown or Dreamline.

Hope that makes sense.

I'd like to make conversion Dreamline Classic to Tac but its impossible to find and buy rear parts [ on the picture in the red circle ]
Any idea where to buy ?

On the first video’s off Matt and few other they show a pre production compact with a thin barrel.

The compact did come with the thicker barrel, the only problem is that the power plenum does not fit.

in the latest aeac video hè is at the fx factory and they show the long promised compact with 300cc bottle, iT also have a power plenum and the thinner barrel Installed. If it’s the newest version you need to contact fx.

Thanks, Spray1Mark. I did see a Crown STX Superlight Barrel Kit for sale. I asked over the phone about it being compatible with the Dreamline and I was told it's just for the Crown. It should work though, if the breech is the same right? Do you think it's just the pellet probe that is different?

Hey MiniMe did you see if these guys at Bagnall and Kirkwood can get this part back in stock?

Sprierings I hope that's the case. I did heard that the shorter barrel in combination with the power plenum can cause "stability" issues. I don't know what that means though. So the compact barrel and power plenum might be made incompatible on purpose. But here I go speculating.

Someone has got to know, and can make more than conjectures.

These Guns are cool but I'm not sure they are developed (infrastructure) for MY taste. (What do I know??? Nothing)
