Sucks to be at work when there is a package patiently waiting to be opened at home! Of course, more to follow.

Ah yes...familiar packaging, just guessing but could that be an AOA package? I got a similar looking one last week only a different rifle. I thought seriously of the Dreamlite, then AOA offered a deal on the Weihrauch HW110 carbine a couple weeks ago so I jumped on a .177. It too is a nice rifle, just started breaking it in and so far so good at close distance, getting over 50 shots from a full charge, can't wait for better weather to get out and see what it can do with a variety of ammo.

Enjoy that new rifle.

So, I got home as the sun was going down. Got it out of the box, threw a scope on it and did a hasty zero at 28m. This won’t be a review, that will come after some time with it. I will tell you what I noticed right off the bat though.

The book that comes with it is very dated. Looks to be one printed around the launch of the Bobcat. You’ll read nothing about newer models, regulator adjustment... or the Dreamline. Small gripe but for the money...

Best finish I’ve seen yet on a recent FX model. It rivals my Royale. Both the finish on my Impact and wildcat were poor. Both were purchased late 2017 timeframe. My Royale was an older model and the finish on it is very nice.

It’s long. Nuff said about that.

And the barrel... it clanks on the air cylinder. Set it down gently...clank. Brush it on a curtain...clank. Pretty sure if you move the rifle fast, you’ll get a resounding clank.

First time I pulled the cocking lever back... no way. I have always judged cocking a rifle against my Royale. For me, that’s the standard. Gotta say, Dreamline is now the standard. It is very very smooth. And that trigger...!

Now to the most important bit. Did a hasty zero with Jsb’s at 28 meters, made a new target, and moved out to 50 m. Rifle was shot as it came to me. I made no changes at all. I also did not clean the barrel. I prefer not to clean the barrel initially. All groups are 5 shots. Pellets used were JSB 10.34’s, and H&N 10.65’s. Straight from fresh unopened tins. Two groups at 50 with the JSB’s, one with the H&N’s. Then one each at 28m. I am very pleased with these. My Impact was also .177. It was the non X barrel and it shot very well. This rifle is every bit as accurate in its current dirty barrel non adjusted state.

Congrats, that is one sweet looking bit of kit. I'm really on the fence about buying into the Dreamline modular range, I like the idea but am waiting on seeing some real world tests and experiances first. Well done for taking the plunge and for getting one so soon. Do you think the barrel clank is just the shroud? Will be interesting to see if there is any change in the POI?

Clearance looks to be an 1/8th at breech end. About a 1/16th at muzzle. Positive it’s from the weight of the DonnyFL on the end. Not thrilled they fixed it in place but a heat gun will fix that. Pretty sure I can get by with a Tanto or a Tatsu to lighten it up a tad.

I had some more time yesterday to shoot the rifle. Cleaned the barrel as well. Got around to using the adjustment dials also. Found another small gripe...the power wheel audible clicks do not match up to the numbers. Going from MAX down to MIN it seems to skip 4 and goes straight to 3. Then it clicks into place between 1 and MIN. Basically, I have to count the clicks between max and min as the numbers are not aligned. Small gripe but again, for the money...I also noticed no changes in velocity when switching between .177/.22 and .25/30. Saw definite change when switched to low. Seems a bit odd to me but it very well could be as intended.

I played with the reg adjustment as well. The rifle came to me set right on at 100 (according to the manometer). So I wasn’t overly concerned with not being able to return it to the original state. It came to me shooting 10.34’s at 890. I’m very interested in getting the 13’s shooting well, so I figured let’s just see what this new AMP reg is about. The first few micro turns got me to what I would say is 110 bar on the manometer. Saw no real change in velocity of the 4 pellets I shot. I proceeded to adjust it again. Going counter clockwise a tad more saw no change in reg pressure on the manometer. Thought that was odd. A little bit more and still no visual change. Fired a few more pellets and no changes in velocity either. I decided to stop at this point and returned it back to the original 100bar. I must say I am very happy being able to make all adjustment without needing to drain the cylinder. I hated that bit on my Impact. This feature performed as designed. I will continue breaking it in, and plan to run a few tins through it this weekend. Afterwards, I’m going to revisit increasing the reg pressure and I will remove the slop from the power wheel adjustment screw and see if I can get the 13’s shooting decently. Side note, on LOW, and power set to MIN, I get a hair over 9 ft-lb with JSB 7.87’s. I had a really good time plinking at this setting. It is extremely accurate out to 37meters at this power.
