DOPE card holder for 11mm dovetail

This is one of those things I assumed someone else had done, but couldn't find one, so I built one myself. Fun little project. I wanted something for hunting which could hold a card with my holds for the various ranges/bait stations so I didn't have to go fishing for a piece of paper in the dark when a rat or mouse finally shows up.

Thanks. Now I see it. Now I also have another winter project. Thanks. I like that you dont have to move the gun to see your card. This is what i did for my guns. It works great but i may try yours to see what works better. This is a football/baseball wristband play card holder. I can put it on my forearm or on the bottle of my bottlegun PCP.

looks interesting. what is the mount made from? looks like it folds down too (?)

Polymer, brass hardware, and the center gap is a rubber damper. Basically anything that hangs off the side of your gun, I figure it'll eventually get snagged on something and recoil will be hard on it. So the rubber can absorb the recoil, and is friction fit so if you REALLY snag it on something it'll just pull off and won't damage the mount or gun. Thats the idea anyway. 



I bet that can be ripped out quick and easy on a 3D printer.

Easy yes, quickly..... meh. Low layer heights and high infil to get the threads to work well means its not fast, but not horrible either. So far I'm happy with it. 



I keep thinking that if I used a sheet of moonglow for the card holder, I'd be able to read my DOPE in the dark. I'll have to try that at some point.
