Donnyfl Tanto vs Tatsu

not enough to matter but the bigger it is will cut a degree more off the blast .. none of them will make a gun undetectably quiet by themselves andnif the neighbor is annoyed by constant whacking they still will be lol ... to get the most quiet setup takes a shrouded gun with a generous ldc on top of it, steps taken to quiet the the gun itself depinger etc, and set up to the lowest power that will be effective for what youre doing, then you got to watch what your shooting at so the target itself isnt slapping ..

I have both. Dont have a .22 but on a redwolf or M3 and <20 FPE there is little difference. I keep the Tatsu permanantly on my Redwolf as I like the shorter profile. Both work on my 28-20 FPE Daystate Huntsman but still too loud for my neighborhood. Slap a Donny Sumo on there and it is a bit quieter. I have not tried larger than Sumo but the Huntsman is just louder and has more "mechanical noise" than the other airguns I supress.

Good luck in your quest for stealth!!

Don't know the difference in sound between the two, but my Tantos have worked great on my two 30 FPE PCPs. Noise at POI is louder, definitely don't annoy the neighbors as you have to live next to them. Good luck!

I had the same issue, and I went with the Donny FL sumo.

The tatsu is the next smallest in length, same dia then the tanto I'm not sure of the size .

I was advised to upsize to .25 cal to prevent clipping, I have had zero issues. To be clear, I've only tried the Donny fl . The results were so good, I didn't look any further. I have had squirrels interact with the reactive metal targets I shoot, and they only react to the poi of the pellet striking the targets, they will flit off and comeback and attack the target! It's Kinda funny to watch them get all puffed up and mad towards the target.
