DonnyFL on Gauntlet

So if you're looking for a fairly comprehensive comparison of airgun moderators, granted on a shrouded FX Crown not a gauntlet, to my knowledge this is the only test of its kind:

I would also like to quickly add that large diameter moderators have, now across multiple brands and power levels, tended not to perform well. I'm still unclear why exactly this trend exists after a LOT of testing. :/

There is a difference but I didn't think that it was enough to use. I use the Hill baffles (they were out before Hajimoto's but I would get his now) and they work better than stock and obviously with a DonnyFL-anything better still. However they also opened my groups (Tanto .25 on a .22 Gauntlet) to 1" at 50 yards where I had, and still can, cover them with a dime without it on. My Sumo .30 doesn't effect my group sizes at all but does bring my POI down an inch at 50 yards. Those issues and the fact that the gun is too damn long to begin with, and I skipped it. If noise is really your thing, the thing to do would be to get the DonnyFL Short Shroud with one of his suppressors in the next caliber up from what you've got. Of course, if you have a .25 Gauntlet, that is a different animal and I would definitely go the short Shroud Sumo route.

I performed a modification that Hajimoto posted on his YouTube channel to port the shroud and I 3d printed some different baffles for my 25 cal gauntlet, and it works pretty well. As I have upped the reg pressure to push a 25 gr pellet at 930 fps the noise has increased.

I will have some videos soon with the Gauntlet 22 equipped with the Donny short shroud and Sumo suppressor.

I can ask my boss to bring his in and I can do a comparison between the DonnyFL shroud with Ronin and with Tatsu.

The 22 with Sumo is stupid quiet.

I'm excited for tomorrow.....first day on the farm.

I designed and printed a new air stripper to make the shroud actually work and some close fitting baffles to make my son's .22 gauntlet quiet. I don't think the .22 version warrants an external suppressor.

Personally like Heavies thoughts on a proper air-stripper and baffles ( absolutely cal. specific) works well for 90% of shrouded airguns.

Also on a gauntlet dropping the shroud and adding a TKO works very well.
