DonnyFL moderators & Daystate Huntsman Revere

I got my Revere tonight and spent a lot of time shooting various pellets. I'll post my thoughts tomorrow, but discovered something very exciting. As I was putting things away, I decided to unscrew the cap on the end of the barrel. Hmm, threads. I held my DonnyFL Ronin up to it, started turning, and it screwed right on! Much needed, as the Revere is very loud. The Ronin quieted it down considerably.

I know most ladies would kill me if I say the following. The rig would look slimmer, more proportional to its good looks with a slimmer can... Maybe a Tanto? Looking forward to your further impressions on it.

FWIW

A Tanto on my Huntsman XL 25 was a change of tone, but IMO no significant decrease in sound level over the original Daystate moderator

Yes, I completely agree with that. I had the Ronin on my Hatsan Flash and it looked good on that gun. I really like the look of the 0db silencers on the Huntsmans, but would really need it to quiet down the bark like the Ronin does. I might see if there are any Android apps for measuring sound decibals, so I can measure the difference. It's pretty substantial with the Ronin.

Yes, DamonZ28, the Huntsman Regals come equipped with a factory installed moderator.

I believe that has been true ever since the Regal & Regal XL were introduced.
Perhaps someone else can verify that

In one of the threads regarding the Revere there was an exchange with a Daystate representative.

In that thread, my recollection is that it was said that Daystate chose not to include a moderator on the Revere in acknowledgement of the fact that many Regal owners were swapping their OEM units out for aftermarket ones

I think that can be found in this thread

Hope this helps
