Donny FL Tanto or Sumo for low powered guns?

Peep,

Even though the common wisdom is "the bigger, the quieter", larger volume moderators can have more of a "pop" sound when used on lower FPE guns, which may seem "louder" or be more noticable than a smaller volume moderator.

Caliber size vs hole size of the moderator can play a role in the perceived sound level as well. The closer the hole in the moderator is to caliber size, the quieter. Unfortunately(because of clipping issues), Donny doesn't make a small .177 hole size moderator anymore.

My experience is a Tanto(closest to caliber size that you can get) is "quieter" to my ear than the Sumo, Shogun, or Fat Boy on most lower fpe guns(.25cal and smaller).

does anyone know how i can get a customer service phone number for the DonnyFL suppressors ? i went on there website and can not find a phone number . i recently bought a benjamin bulldog 357 caliber and i wanted to talk to them on which suppressor is recommended for the bulldog 357 and what would i need to install it on the pop . also the price .anyone that can help is greatly appreciated .

I wish I arrived sooner. It is really on the user and what they are comfortable with. I like ultimate quiet in my yard.

I used my Tanto only on my 2250 CO2 build. Its a 22/25 model. I don't even like it on my PP700SA 22 that shoots 16gr at 600fps. And that carbine has a shrouded barrel.

I use a Sumo (22/25) on my PP700SA 22 cal and my PP700SA 25 for now. The 25 is loud for my comfort, so I will go bigger eventually. The 25 cal is shooting a high of 580 fps with a 25.4gr

With my Cricket Tac2 I use a Tatsu with the shroud and it meets my sound requirements.

I like taking rodents out in my backyard at night when sound really carries. So I want ultimate quite just for my piece of mind.

If you use the Tanto with the Akela shroud, you should be fine.

I have the Ronin and Emperor on my Bulldogs. The Emperor is quieter, but it's much longer and makes the gun very front heavy. I only use the Emperor at night in residential areas.

You also have to get the right adapter for the Bulldog.
