Currently shooting .25 FX impact around 860-900FPS.. Shooting pellets and slugs for some backyard pest control. I am looking to upgrade the FX with the DONNY FL, but what choice.??. I am looking for super quiet reduction is sound....I am thinking either the SHOGUN or RONIN ...I see a lots of SUMOs out there... I would love to hear from you all. or if you have another suggestion on another brand is more successful ..... Again I have a Tanto on another gun and love the product. The ultimate goal is to have a super backyard friendly report. Can't wait to hear for the group.....

If you don’t mind big & long I can attest the Emperor V3 allows nothing but hammer hitting valve and smack of projectiles to be heard.
if you ever plan on upping your power just get a Sumo, or whatever is out there. I personally love Neil Clague & Rocker1’s work. Neil will do a full shroud for less than an Emperor V3 & a $75.00 Rocker1 made my Sumatra on highest power sound like a Discovery on medium with nothing.

The problem with going "big and long" is you potentially have some serious barrel droop. Not talking trash about the FX products, but the Crown and Impact I owned had serious barrel droop with Donny's Ronin installed. I swapped to a Sumo on my Impact and it worked great, I thought it was a good compromise of size and sound reduction, I was shooting 33.95 gr MKII's at 860 if I recall correctly, and it was plenty quiet to shoot in my suburban neighborhood. Another one to look at is the Ramus Technologies Trident. Its a little more expensive than Donny's, but to my ears, it is quieter and has a softer tone. Its also very light as well. I have that on my Redwolf safari .25 and even on high power, its very very quiet.

I have used several Donny mods on my Impact X in .25cal my suggestion is go with what you like for size. They all perform very well. DonnyFL products are top notch, havent seen a bad one yet.

Using an App on my phone the decibel level was within 2 dB's between the Ronin and the Tanto, advantage to the Ronin. For that reason, my Ronin sits on a shelf waiting to play again. Both were shot from a FX Wildcat .25 Compact.

I have a .30 Ronin on my .25 Flashpup. It’s not as quite as I hoped it would be for a can of that size. It is very well made for sure. I like the NC one on my .45 Bully. But I don’t like the idea of not being able to open it up. My next one will be from R1

Maybe you could contact Donny and give details of what you have and what you want and he can suggest the best solution. I know that in the field info from end users is good info too ! I Contacted Donny on my new to me 25 Cal Streamline in near new condition and he suggested for my rig to go with the Sumo in 30 cal over the 25 cal size.

If you want as quiet as possible go with the DonnyFL Emperor. I have a .25 Crown, PP700 and Maximus and have been doing some informal testing recently. The desire for as quiet as possible had lead me to order the 6.5" extender, which arrives Saturday. A report to come sometime soon comparing that with a few 3D printed purchased models from CGTrader.
