I first want to say that I have not posted in a while. I did participate in one of the recent gun giveaways sponsored through this site.
I am always lurking, but my Airguns get a rest over winter and I recently bought a brand new MF 1742 with cab and rear blade for snow. Also, a backhoe attachment, landpride 8’ rake, and front forks.

It is the lurking that brings about my post today. While on this site Camp Fussel’s post about his new Edgun R5M long gave me an addiction relapse. So I watched a bunch of videos of The owner of Edgun shooting in his 53 meter lean to and partying it up on some waterside ranch in Russia. Well, the R5M standard caught my eye. I texted Brian at Edgun West and stayed in constant contact with him for three weeks awaiting the latest shipment. When available, I pounced on the .25 cal standard. Thanks again Brian.

I topped it with a Vortex strike Eagle 3x18x44 with a very good reticle.

"Terryb00"Gorgeous stock on your new R5M!
I'm on the list for a standard too. Sold the R3M Short, moving up.
Have you shot it enough to say whether the cocking lever is big enough, or out far enough for your liking?
It functions easier than my Vulcan tactic did with the sliding side bolt.
the R5M little flip knobs on the cocking action are nice on the fingers. It is not Colibri side bolt easy, but that gun is a .22. After a long session with my Colibri even my finger will be sore where the bolt lever hits my finger. I even have construction worker hands, but the Edgun bolt levers are nice.

Far out enough is subjective. My Vulcan Tactic got the OEM side lever upgrade and is is soooo sweet. That would be an engineering feat for Ed to put cocking levers on both sides after the fact. The Vulcan sidelever uses a hinge to increase leverage, not just making the lever longer on a sliding action.
