¿Does latin american people deserve a special section on this forum?

No. You don't deserve things. You earn it or make it happen.

What does that comment have to do with this discussion ? Who was it directed towards?

Based on my experience with AGN, anyone is welcome here. Any languages and any regions, and translation never a reason for leaving a post unanswered. Except maybe those who want to copy airguns and steal intellectual property rights. My comment is directed towards anyone who feels "deserving" or entitled to things solely because of their status, background, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, or race, etc . The OP may have phrased "deserving" incorrectly because of the language differences. But in general, you make things happen and build-it. Do not move into someone else's territory they built and claim a piece of it as an entitlement. What about the Russian forums, etc?

Arguably, the airgun hobby benefits from all different airgun experiences. Some of the best inventions came out of Russia, Ukraine, Sweden, etc. Having all of them in one place would be beneficial to the hobby as the exchange of ideas would be direct and immediate. No strange ideas would be discarded and the language barriers could be broken down with the use of modern technology (Google translator, etc) and with some proactive help from other forum members.

My recommendation would be to ask the forum admins to make available a section for posting in "foreign languages". Which then could be separated into specific languages, like Spanish, etc. They would of course need their own admin, moderator(s). Additionally, there may be financial issues at stake as well. This website generates money, so bringing in entire groups of people from other regions of the world may increase the traffic to this site, while at the same time that group of people would receive a "free" infrastructure-platform and exposure that someone else has to sustain and support.

I don’t know anything about running an Internet forum, so can’t speak to the technical or economic challenges that might be involved in adding built-in foreign-language capabilities to this one.

But the difference between Spanish and the other languages mentioned, is that it’s the most-spoken language in the Western Hemisphere, and the second most common language in the United States. The ability to accommodate Spanish could significantly increase the “reach” of this excellent site, and the amount of education and enjoyment we all get from it.

I may be bais saying this, because I'm an native English speaker, but it should stay in English and only in English. Since English is the international language, it world only makes sense to use one language as a common denominator to disseminate information.

There needs to be a way all languages can transfer info. between languages. With google translate engines, is it possible?

I dont want to miss an important post pertaining to my airgun just because it is in a language I dont understand.

Should never had tried to reach the stars,oh the mess that building caused....No,

Where there is a will there is a way....too many subgroups make for a lengthy "group" search.

Now some people what a separate site for this and that,,just take Your time to find what you need.

"Seek and you shall find".I know for a fact that when you do it becomes easier for You.

It would be convenient to read in your native language. I watch air gun you tube videos in other languages. I think I learn sometimes. But I am sure my comprehension isn't exactly what was the video owners intent. I enjoy watching them. As I see quality craftsmanship and or simple effective designs it's a great reminder of others ability's

What I'm saying is- Is it possible for everyone to read this forum in their own language? A person should be able to click on the link, see it is in English, hit a tab and translate the whole thing in Spanish for example. Could AGN have a translate tab?

Then if the native Spanish person has something to imput on the post, the type it up in Spanish then translate it to English and then post it.

It would better for everyone right?

That would be cool if it didn't cost the forum a bunch. I copied one of these posts and went to one o the translators and bam it worked. that's neat.

Well they key word used was (deserve) and that alone can start arguments. The title would have been best served as (what could be done to help Latin folks view our site more easily so we share in knowledge)

An excellent and thoughtful point. “Deserve” has to be one of the most loaded words in English!
