Does JSB 22 Exact Jumbo Beast have better BC than 25 King Heavy?

A lot of guys at Extreme Bechrest are shooting 25 cal with JSB King Heavy 33.95 grain pellets because their BC is better than most 30 cal pellets.

Recently JSB released Jumbo Beast 22 cal 33.95 grain pellets. Wouldn't these have a much better BC and therefore better suited to Extreme Benchrest? Has anyone tried these pellets in the field? I don't have interchangeable barrels so hoping to hear from the gurus on the forum.

Hard Air Mag have Jumbo Monster BC, but nothing for Jumbo Beast. Beast is a fair bit heavier, so my guesstimate says it just might beat 25 King Heavy BC.

But can a .22 move a 34gr pellet to @ 900 FPS?

My own bc for the revised Monster .22 of 25.4 gr has it equal to the .25 King Heavy at .05+ as measured using my LabRadar Doppler chronograph. It is quite a bit better than the basic .25 King. This new Monster is very accurate from my rifles to 70 yards but I have not yet really tested it against the .25 clan at 100 yd and beyond.

Unfortunately I do not have a barrel with a fast enough twist rate to satisfactorily shoot the .22 Beast 33.9 gr pellet to do it justice. So I cannot give a first hand answer there. ... Kind regards, Harry.

You seem to be spot on about the twist rate. Some Russian language reviews show buckshot-like accuracy for the .22 Beast 33.95 gr because of a slower twist rate. What twist rate you recon might do the trick?

Some of the newer Hi-Power versions like Hatsan Bully might be able to push this pellet at 900 fps.

Ken at SPAW was getting a BC of.054 with the new JSB 25.4 grain Monster in .22 with the LW poly barrel at over 900 FPS . Looks like the perfect gun for the new “one gun” challenge at EBR. That BC is equivalent or better than the .25 JSB Heavy.

I believe that my new Impact "X" .22 has a twist rate of 1:18 and it should be able to get these pellets up to speed. Considering it can shoot .30 pellets.
But what twist rate do you guys think would be good for the JSB Beast?
