Does anyone have one of these or have ever shot one?

I saw these in the early eighties when I was on the Beeman and HW train. I've never seen a single post or example of one.

They are very nice in the pics and descriptions.

Back in the day, I owned the Air Arms "Mistral" which was a tap loader in .177 caliber when they first came out. It was a small carbine style springer with side-lever cocking arm. It was a decent shooting springer but it just wasn't a keeper and I bought it from "World Class Airguns". I'm sure I've got an old catalog around here somewhere with all of the information on them and I hardly ever threw any of my airguns related materials away.

@Simplyhooked.... good to know that at least someone owned one. They all look like they could be the same or very similar action. Nice lookers.... This catalog was from Great Lakes Airguns out of New York. I had purchased some Sharp rifles and things from them. Don't know of anyone else offering Sharp's in the US till a fellow in Tempe, Az brought a small number in in the late 90s. I also have some World Class Airgun catalogs but didn't remember them offering these while I was buying from them.

Arzrover, it's been a very long time since I had or traded the AA Mistral but I'm almost sure I bought it from Mr. Thomas in the late 80's or early 90s. I'm also a lot older than I was back then as well. I'm also thinking it could have been Great Lakes Airguns as well but the Mistral was a very nice shooting springer but like so many other springers, I traded it for something different.

Hello all.

I've owned most of the old Air Arms side-levers at one time or another. Some of them are great looking but to be honest they are not the most refined of rifles when to comes to actually shooting them although they did improve a lot over their lifetime - the nicest I have shot was the SE90.

In 2000 Bruce Dotson (Before he opened Airetex) and myself were doing 100 yard target shooing in Wylie Texas with his .177 Shamal wearing a Simmons 44mag scope. This was before I started importing JSB's (JohnstonTargetWorks) so we were more than likely shooting Kodiak's. Nickle size groups off a carpet roll prone. IIRC a few dime size groups as well.

KWK. My dad has the Camargue he got it from a very good friend, I love shooting it. I don't think it is quite as accurate as my TX 200 in a FT stock but a very fun and accurate old springier. My first PCP was the Shamal I got it from another friend and I was by far my absolute favorite. It was unfortunately stolen and it breaks my heart because I know someone has destroyed it because they had no idea what they had. I found an SM100 it is very close to the Shamal but does not have nearly as nice of a stock. It still amazies me that the Shamal is still not listed in the Blue book (at least the last one I looked at).
