I apologize for posting a topic that's prohibited and I have muted the post as best as I can. It would be nice if an option to DELETE a post was available. My intent was to see if people fully understood the agenda of the BLM organization. Most people don't and blindly support the destructive organization with donations, some quite substantial. While the name suggests it's a well-intended bunch of people with a noble cause, It is the exact opposite! Its agenda is to destroy the very fabric of what makes up part of this great country. Whats that some of you ask? I'll leave it at, google their agenda and its creators. Read a little deeper than what's on the surface.

As was pointed out to me political discussions are prohibited on AGN, so I removed the link and whatever comment I made, I cant remove the whole post or else I would, to keep my conduct within the AGN rules and regs guidelines, as I very much enjoy being a member. Wheres the RULES at? (I didn't see /couldn't find them either) They are AT THE BOTTOM of any page, the VERY bottom.

CONTACT  •  ADVERTISE  •  RULES & TERMS •  PRIVACY POLICY

Personally, just the slogan black lives matter perpetuates the racial divide in society. ALL lives matter! Have Negros been treated unfairly and do they have a legitimate bitch? Damn right they have! The Floyd death revealed the abuse that goes on daily in Black America and needs to be spotlighted and stopped! Unfortunately, BLM hijacked the peaceful protests and ran with their destructive agenda that actually creates a larger racial divide and spawns new hate.

I have lots more Id like to say on the subject but this isn't the place.

Please forgive me if I've offended anyone, it's not my intent.  (regarding this post. 😁)

keep it civil and respectful if you must opine.

Absolutely beautiful day in western Colorado

that needs viewing from my trusty BMW steed.

Let me see if I'm in the right forum,

    Off Topic

    Interests Outside of air gunning

1.Seems this forum would be the appropriate place to discuss Interests not related to Airguns. I'm curious, Just where would you suggest?

    2. If memory serves me correctly,  I'm pretty sure I participated in discussions of a Political nature here and received no warnings, scoldings, or suggestions to take it somewhere else. (There is always the possibility, I just got lucky I suppose)

    3. Ummm, I had no idea the previous post that obviously ruffles your feathers, was banned! Perhaps you would be so kind as to direct me towards the location where that type of info might be as I'm unable to locate any info relating to the post being banned. Seems to me if it was banned, it would be jerked from the forum

    4. I suppose I should re-read the rules and guidelines, they may have changed, it seems EVERYTHING is constantly changing nowadays, however, short of rereading, I don't recall anything banning political discussions. If I'm in error, please accept my apology.

    5. And lastly, I'm going to chalk this up to, maybe he's having a less than a wonderful day. I say that because what I received from you regarding this matter sure doesn't walk alongside the character other members have remarked about.

After finding and rereading the rules (which is AT THE BOTTOM of every page)

YUP . . .  I would like a glass of water to go with the foot in my mouth thank you

I think you’re fine BLM is not a political organization. It is a 501(c)(3) non profit.  To be tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, an organization must be organized and operated exclusively for exempt purposes set forth in section 501(c)(3), and none of its earnings may inure to any private shareholder or individual. In addition, it may not be an action organizationi.e., it may not attempt to influence legislation as a substantial part of its activities and it may not participate in any campaign activity for or against political candidates.  The last one did get shut down but there was a lot of back and forth and some comments that could be taken as racist these days.

I was just trying to point out to NobudyinParticular that talking about an educational non profit (that’s what a 501(c)(3) organization is) is not politics unless some makes it politics. I wasn’t throwing stones or trying to slight or shade anyone. I don’t know what his intentions are and I’m not gonna speculate. He posted a link click it or not who cares. I do agree that this thread could easily go sideways. I hope not but it probably will.

No.  I do believe that racism exists, that no race is exempt from it, and that all humans are subject to it.  I believe that every life is precious to God.  I believe that black lives are no more or less important to God than any other lives.  I appreciate the intent of the movement.  I think BLM is a political organization which does more harm to the movement than good. So no.

That and the fact there are still no clearly defined or practical demands. Only alluding to some whimsical notion that the rest of us are supposed pretend can be implemented.

    +1

I don’t follow people or that particular 501c3 non profit/non political party. I don’t follow all this hate and violence and lawlessness no matter how non political or political it is. I follow my Lord, and Romans 8 says:

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.“

That is my aim. That is who I seek to serve. And he asks me to love my neighbor – of every color and creed.

The great thing about a sport like air rifles is that you get to connect with a lot of people that are fundamentally different in color or sex or ideology. I meet all kinds of wonderful people here that think completely opposite to me, which is awesome. I got my brother in law an air rifle as a gift recently, and he is nearly the exact opposite of me on ideology, and we really bonded shooting together. Just think, if we all stepped back from it positions of opposition and just talked and loved on one another, we would make a new story and it would read differently than the one ending with blood on the streets.

I am supposed to love my enemy. I hope to live up to that, but it is good to remind myself of that. After all, my ideological enemy is one of God’s children.

Love you all on the other side,

I think BLM is extremely racist and it's claims baseless. Cops were getting too violent in carrying out their duties but the facts don't support BLM claims… to put it nicely. I think we've seen enough backlash toward police to solve most of the problems so everyone needs to drop the anger and focus on getting back to a more normal life.

I might but I'll admit I might be somewhat uneducated on the organization as a whole. I believe they have been in existence for seven years? How much charitable work have they've done? Perhaps housing for low income families, scholarships, food banks, medical assistance, or any money for inner city projects? I've read that since their inception the organization has amassed around a billion dollars, yet they seem to only appear prior to elections. Where are they the rest of the year? Where does their funding go? How much does it cost to get a pallet of bricks delivered to a densely populated city? What's the cost to charter a bus during a medical emergency where social distancing, mask mandates, and other public gatherings are prohibited? Do they furnish the clothes worn by protesters? Are the professionally crafted signs funded by them? Just some food for thought.

BLM doesn't care about black on black murder they only seek racial division where there was none. As BLM Protests Raged, Chicago Saw Highest Black-On-Black Murder Rate In 60 Years

As BLM commits these crimes they accuse the ones who appose them of the racial division BLM themselves promote which is a Marxist tactic.

I think they need a different name, BLM stands for Bureau of Land Management. Not very original for them to use an existing acronym.
